We're on vacation from the UK and have a spare night to fit in a stop between Portland and Walla Walla. Any recommendations for a stopover (along route 84), with great local places to eat, grab a drink etc?
Need new self-levelling screed adding on top of existing concrete floor.
The photo shows blue DPM - from the original install a long time ago and the black DPM is recently added where we had to fill a gulley in with some cement.
The new screed layer would go above where the blue DPM finishes and from what I've read I think this will be a massive issue but the flooring contractor didn't raise it when looking at the job initially.
There must be a solution here - can anyone suggest the best way to ensure future damp issues are avoided?
I have a small void where previous owner made a back extension but didn't take the concrete floor right up to external door edge.
I need to fill the void with concrete.
Any tips on how folks would do this?
Fill void with concrete half way, then lay a piece of DPM overlapping with the existing bit, the extra concrete on top?
Or put insulation board in the void, then DPM on top, followed by concrete?
