Running a perfume/cosmetics packaging manufacturing unit in India (caps, bottles, pen sprays). how do manufacturers here get discovered by D2C fragrance brands beyond IndiaMART/TradeIndia?

We manufacture custom perfume caps, pocket perfume bottles, and packaging components for fragrance and cosmetic brands in India. Right now most of our leads come from B2B marketplaces (IndiaMART, TradeIndia) and referrals, but the margins and lead quality there are inconsistent.

For folks who've scaled a component/packaging manufacturing business did LinkedIn outreach to D2C brand founders work better? Trade shows? Instagram/content marketing showing the manufacturing process? Curious what's actually worked vs. what's a waste of time.

Anyone here building a fragrance/perfume brand right now? What's been the hardest part so far?

If anyone here is building a fragrance brand and has questions about packaging MOQs, materials, customization, sourcing from India, lead times, etc. Happy to share what I know. Not trying to hard sell here, just glad to help if it's useful, and always open to connecting with folks in the industry.

How do fragrance brands find reliable perfume packaging manufacturers? Looking for advice as I start mine.

I'm actually on the manufacturing side, the brands that avoid getting burned usually do a few things, they ask for physical samples before committing to any bulk order, they check if the manufacturer can actually customize (color, finish, branding) rather than just offering catalog items, and they clarify MOQ and lead times upfront in writing.
