So I had my heart set on a used Mazda cx-5 but it’s hard to find one with low km and good price. I know Toyota is notorious for being reliable but I heard that Mazda cx-5s are comparable. I’m just tryna determine which one is worth buying. I plan on keeping this car for probably 5 years. Can anyone who owns either cars provide any insight on their experience?

• 130,000–150,000 km
• Clean title only — no accidents, no salvage/rebuilt
• Carfax required and full service history a big plus
• Budget: $17,000–$19,000, cash, ready to move quickly for the right car
• Located in Toronto, Canada (GTA) happy to travel for the right one
Will be getting anything serious properly inspected before purchase, so I can move efficiently once something checks out.
