Should I get the Beta AR or SV?

Today, I use a UNIQLO, BLOCKTECH Parka | 3D Cut, (copy pasted) for hiking in rainy days and for snowboarding (with puffy decathlon jacket under if cold), and also for walking around Raincouver/Vancouver.

https://www.uniqlo.com/ca/en/products/E464024-000/00?colorDisplayCode=56&sizeDisplayCode=003

I have hiking pants and snowboarding pants.

I'm considering getting an outer shell to replace the UNIQLO $30 shell with no features, no vent, etc.

I've narrowed down to Beta AR or SV. Alpha SV seems overkill for my use, but open to it.

I tried them on (didn't have my helmet around though), and felt the SV hoodie is too massive. Doesn't feel as confortable or look as good. Thoughts?

For my wife, she wants the Alpha SV because she likes the pink, that's fine.

Then, I'm looking for a sunhoodie / a singular outer layer to wear in very hot days when hiking, moving around or doing standup paddle. Maybe the Ossa 1/2 zip?

I have the cash to buy an iPhone 17 pro - Costco vs Apple vs 0% finance vs …

what’s the best way to buy it?

Weathsimple 2% cashback visa on Apple Store

apple finance at 0%, set cash aside in high interest savings account (this is direct debit? no cashback?)

costco with executive membership 2% and 1% cashback wealthsimple mastercard (I was wrong they stopped giving 1% cashback)

I’m leaning Costco

(no debt, emergency fund solid, investments for retirement on track)

gorp core when it's blazing hot? long sleeves and pants but not hot layer

summer's here, it's getting hot af , and there's mosquitos about

im considering arcterix cormac hoodie and gamma lightweight pants as sun protection, i got a cap with mosquito net and shades can just use the same as always

might check decathlon for cheaper alternatives, but for a sun hoodie, it seems they only have: https://www.decathlon.ca/en/p/fishing-hooded-anti-uv-t-shirt-upf-50-500/329166/c180m8771521

More pictures of the truck 270 degree awning on a Sienna

yes it bumps against the trunk, I have to open it like a 180 degree awning, or open the trunk first then open the awning under it

i didn’t get a 180 degree awning because this was only $190 usd , a steal

yes the rhinorack pioneer 5 roof platform is wider than longer because it too is for a truck or Jeep. it’s 60*62 inch. that too was on discount because it’s probably taking up space unsold in warehouses

i like the overhang on the sides because it’s easier to climb on top though

you can tell it’s well attached by the bend on those T bolts /s

Am I crazy if I get a 60x62 rhinorack pioneer 5 for my gen3 Sienna?

I have crossbars right now.

I want sit on top.

I want to add gas and storage and solar panels and a starlink. I already have a 270 awning on the cross bars.

why 60*62 and the 5 not pioneer 6? it’s half the price. I already have 60” wide crossbars and it’s not bad at all, it doesn’t even stick out over the side doors. in fact one of the passenger door juuuuust barely rubs against the awning when it opens. by letting it stick out more, it’s easier to climb on top with a ladder too. If I went for a 70 * 60 or something it’d be double the price. The truck size pioneer 5’s are selling for cheap because stores want to get rid of them.

anyone have a roof platform on their Sienna?
