The secret song vote is bringing out the worst in people lol

I was at the Birmingham show on Sunday, and when Start Over got picked there were SO many grumbles around me and I genuinely don’t understand why 😭

I feel like some people forget that not everyone is following the tour around or going to multiple shows. A lot of people can only afford to go to one show or the only one close enough to them, and maybe they just genuinely wanted to hear Start Over live?? Not everyone is choosing based on what was played at the last five shows lol.

What makes it even more annoying is that I saw people on 5sos twt (cough a certain group cough) who weren’t even at the Raleigh show purposely voting for Start Over because they were mad Raleigh had the chance to get Chest or WD and they didn’t want them to get it. Then the next night some of those same people were saying Bham “fumbled” by picking Start Over??

The whole thing is just giving entitled/ungrateful. I also really wish the voting site was location based somehow, because why are people who aren’t even at the show getting a say in what that crowd hears?? I swear some people in this fandom have gotten way too comfortable acting like every show is supposed to cater to them just because they have "on tour" in their handles.

Reliable Windows laptop for work and school (USA)

TL;DR: I’m a working adult and online student looking for a reliable Windows laptop that will last several years. I usually take only 1–2 classes per semester, so completing undergrad and eventually grad school may take a while. I do not need anything for gaming or heavy creative work. Just something basic, dependable, portable, and good quality.

LAPTOP QUESTIONNAIRE

  • Country

USA

  • Budget

$800-$1,000 USD

  • Are you open to refurbs/used options?

Yes to refurbished. I would consider used only if it is in excellent condition.

  • Screen size

13-16". I do not want anything overly large.

  • Weight limit

The lighter, the better, since I want something portable, but I do not have a strict weight limit.

  • Purpose

General web browsing, school & work. I don't play video games.

  • Form factor

Standard/Clamshell (a regular laptop)

  • Intended usage

Microsoft Office applications, especially Outlook and Word, Chrome, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Blackboard, Respondus LockDown Browser, and general everyday browsing.

  • Desired battery life

Around 8 hours or longer would be ideal

  • Please list, in order of most important to least important, the priority between Size, Weight, Performance, Battery life

Size, Performance, Weight, Battery Life

  • Info/Requirements

I think I've already listed pretty much everything. I prefer Windows and am not interested in a Mac. My biggest priorities are reliability and longevity. Since I may be in school for several more years, I would like something that will continue running well and will not need to be replaced anytime soon. I'd prefer at least 16 GB of RAM and a 512 GB SSD. Not sure about Snapdragon/ARM processors. I have looked at Lenovo Yoga laptops, but I am open to other brands and models. I would especially appreciate recs for something lightweight with a good keyboard!

Officially diagnosed

I’m 26 and have been married a little over a year. I’ve always had a feeling I might have vaginismus, but I avoided getting help because I felt embarrassed and like I should be able to figure it out on my own. My GYN has suggested dilators and pelvic pain clinics before, but I always turned it down because it made me feel like I wasn’t woman enough if I needed help with sex.

Earlier this week, I made an appointment and another doctor examined me and officially diagnosed me with vaginismus. She referred me to a pelvic pain clinic, and I’m actually going to go this time. I’m really scared though. I’m terrified of inserting anything, even my own fingers. I’ve only had one pap (a little traumatic) and I’ve been able to insert a tampon a few times, but it was always uncomfortable and I think I panicked.

Reading success stories here has made me feel a little more hopeful, but I’m still really scared especially of dilators. I’m worried that’s going to be the first thing they want me to do, and I don’t know how to go from being this afraid to actually making progress.

Has anyone else started from this level of fear? What helped you take the first step?
