So when do we get a pixel art "The Indigo Child" video game?

Every time I listen to any of the three releases in this TDH universe it just screams badass, highly stylized pixel art isometric video game, with 2D side scrolling transitional levels. The narrative is deep but open-ended. A lot there to play with.

The shear scale of Tower darkening different parts of the city at different times of the day. NPCs whispering about the prophecy. Escaping Antimai to see the vast Wasteland to be chased and hunted by Marauders. Having the ship as a home base hub, where you prepare.

It could be a game where you play as one person, or a game where each chapter you play as a different person in the Indigo child universe.

Citizen in Ring 8

A Officer of the law possibly in a conundrum about the deeds he must do challenging his morality

A mother trying to hide her son from authority

The scientist escaping Antimai

Fighting/running from the Marauders

Shopping at The Bazarateria and navigating the chaos

Flying in your ship dodging lightning in the Stormlands

I'm just straight riffing here, but It sure is fun to think about. It would make such a good game!

The Indigo Child movie soundtrack. The way I would line it up.

A fan imagining of how the concept albums (The Indigo Child, Antimai, Sunya) from TDH would tell the story in a full length movie or trilogy. Weaving the 3 timlines into a format that jumps back and forth. Starts at the Tower and ends in Sunya.

Part 1: songs 1-8 / Part 2: songs 9-15 / Part 3: songs 16-23.

In my mind certain songs set the atmosphere and mood of the scene/section of said imaginary film or trilogy. Others tell more concrete parts of the story.

It was really fun to think about all of it and line it out the way that I would think a movie or trilogy would play out with all of the information lyrics and music that we have through this three-piece concept story that TDH has beautifully created.

It's a different way to listen to the albums and strings them together in the way that I personally see it or how it could translate into a movie soundtrack/script.

I'm gonna say it.

If Pearl Abyss used their engine and built a game but had seasoned RPG narrative story writers, write the main story line... Yeah everyone would absolutely be gushing over CD. This is no slight towards what Pearl Abyss has accomplished. It's the fact that they can build massive, incredible, and cohesive worlds but the depth is lacking. This is going to be the new developer on the block. They listen and adapt to the players. Since February they have had 10 damn good updates. Watch them hire and commission super talented writers. I hope they go heavy lore and story for this upcoming DLC. Enrich the world you have built Pearl Abyss! We don't really need more world... Maybe just some solid context to make us fall in love.

What do you want to see from the DLC?
