Update after almost a month!

Hello Everyone, Long story short, I created this post a month ago, and Alhamdulillah, most people from this community were so supportive. Some of them approached me through DM's for referrals and other opportunities, and I got one interview aligned from there as well. Also, I landed a freelancing project too from here, which was again suprising for me.

In the last month, I already got some interviews aligned before i posted about my situation and now i want to share with you all that due to consistency and Allah's blessing, I got three offers, and I will be joining one company tomorrow. I made myself a promise that this time i will try to share my knowledge and experience, including my failures, with others as much as i can without any cost. I will try to help others as much as I can so to full fill that promise here is my calendly link . You can schedule a one-on-one meeting with me through this and we can chat about any problem you are facing, which i will try to help with, or vice versa. We can share our experiences, the companies we have worked for, the culture there, etc.

About me:
7.5 years of experience in the software industry, and I have previously worked for top IT firms (6 in total now after tomorrow)

Laid off!! With 8 years of experience and 30+ interviews later

Hello Developers hope you are doing well. Before getting started let me introduce myself breifly. So i have got around 8 years of experience in this field without any gap (except current 3 months due to being laid off). I have worked on 20+ projects and all of them were in production handling millions of users. My technology stack is MERN, Java and AWS but i have worked on other technologies as well as per the project requirements.

I was working in one of the top 5 IT companies of pakistan for 4 years but they laid me off without any prior notice on a call and this all hapenend in two days of time span and i got really demotivated and disappointed. I have given more than 30 interviews now in this time period (almost 3 months) and i can assure 50% of them were best and i was even expecting offer letters ( just for the info i have worked for 5 companies and refused to join few due to some circumstances during 8 years of experience and based on that i can judge the outcome). I would like to bash a few companies too who ghosted me or even asked to solve a leet code problem (rejected me on that basis because i was unable to solve max subarray problem in live coding but donot care that i know how to acheive a 0% downtime in deployment of application).

Right now my situation is that my compensation and savings are draining so i am planning to start an ecommerce white label brand and do a job in ibex or any other BPO or drive a uber using my car. I would appreciate any suggestion and recommendation here from my fellow developers as i am running out of my savings and need to do something to put food on the table.

Husband (Software engineer) and wife (Psychologist)

Hey, i hope everyone here is doing good. So me and my husband (8 years of exp in software industry but got laid off) wants to start an ecommerce jewelery + watches brand with some savings we have got.

Just wanted to ask is this niche profitable? Also after how many time it will take to kick off (start giving revenue not break even) we have met few vendors in lahore and they have got sleek designs. We are also learning few tricks related to marketing strategy and will try to sell our product with our story.

Recomendation / suggestions are highly appreciated.
