How to choose a laser treatment

I am 48, had a consultation with a dermatologist in my town that has a variety of lasers. There are so many choices, how to choose?

I am fair skinned. My primary concerns are broken blood vessels and redness on chin, also some discoloration from old pimples and sun damage on face. And uneven skin texture.

I also have poikiloderma of civatte on my neck (a type of sun damage). But my face is more of the priority right now.

The nurse recommended a package of 3 BBL treatments, or 1 Halo hybrid fractional treatment or 1 Sciton profractional to start.

It seems that I will likely need a few treatments over time but I'm just not sure where to start!! I would appreciate any insights you have.

I dont have 2 weeks downtime to do a co2 laser treatment or something super invasive. But I do have a hybrid work schedule so could stack a few remote days around a weekend for recovery.

Thank you!

Perimenopause outbreaks

I am a 48yo female, I've had genital HSV since I was 20. College boyfriend had a mouth cold sore and spread it. Long time! Many years it was dormant and I forgot i even had it. It really hasnt been a big deal for much of my life.

But the last 2 years I've had crazy outbreaks triggered by hormonal fluctuations. I was on HRT for awhile, now on birth control to manage the bad peri symptoms (mood swings, depression, hot flashes, terrible periods, brain fog, etc).

These chronic outbreaks aren't helping. It is like this constant itch and low grade fever that won't go away. I feel so tired.

Has anyone else experienced this? I am at my wits end. Ive never taken daily antivirals but just got a prescription. I dont really want to be on any daily meds but I dont really know of an alternative option.

I tried oral lysine, monolaurin, vitamin c, zinc, garlic supplements. Nothing seems to help. Its like this itch I cannot scratch.

Would love any advice. I feel like a newbie all over again.

AITA for ignoring work related calls from old boss after quitting job?

I no longer work for a company. My boss and I were close but he loaded me up with work and didn't bother to learn our new system and how to do any of my work. He now is calling and texting me with work related questions. AITA for ignoring his calls and texts?

I told him before I left I would be on vacation and needed a solid break before starting my new job. AITA for telling him he needs to ask someone else that is still on the payroll?
