here we go again

Wanting to get into electrical work, parents were keen at first even encouraging me to drop out after convincing, but now my dad is telling me to complete yr 12 but here's the problem

I don't want too and I'm starting to hate it and despise it.

All bc they want me to be an electrical engineer?

my dad especially, he even said "once u become an electrical engineer u fulfilled my dream and u will have a status in the family"

i was dumbfounded after he said that it is always what they want and not what I want, and i actually enjoy doing electrical work idk what to do and may not be the right place to vent but wtv ig
