O365 email and apple mail

We are in a mixed OS environment and I have one user on a mac that is having issues with email in the mail app. Emails after June 11 would not load. We deleted the account and added it again and it is now attempting to load emails for the last 24 hours. A quick search found this string (https://www.reddit.com/r/sysadmin/s/yZlMToosGa) so I moved him to outlook which loaded the emails immediately. He does not like outlook so I wanted to know if anyone has had any suggestions on getting O365 to work on the mail app?

Auto updates off but auto updated?

I had two NVRs update protect from 7.1.69 to 7.1.77 today even though auto update is off. I was reviewing footage on one and it updated so I assumed initiated it mistakenly. I moved to the second one and it updated also. Has anyone else seen this behavior

Triggers to press button

I have a button programmed to complete multiple tasks to set our systems for the beginning of an event. Is it possible to create a trigger to “press” the button at a specified time?

OneDrive sync randomly breaking + forcing full resync? Anyone else seeing this?

I’ve got a handful of users running into a weird OneDrive issue:

  • Sync works fine for a while
  • Then randomly throws “unable to sync” errors
  • Only fix so far is re-running setup and pointing back to the same folder

The problem is—it kicks off what looks like a full re-sync (not just incremental), and it can take hours.

Right now it’s only hitting a small % of users, but it’s happening often enough that I’m worried it could start spreading.

Couple questions for anyone else dealing with this:

  • Are you seeing similar behavior lately?
  • Any better fix than blowing away and re-linking OneDrive?
  • Ways to avoid the full re-sync when reconnecting?
  • Anything obvious I should be checking (client version, known bugs, etc.)?

Feels like something deeper than user error or a one-off, but I haven’t pinned it down yet.

I have a user who needs to create a calendar of major events in our organization for others to view. I see that she can add a calendar and then share it with view-only rights. Is that the best solution?

Our SIS has just enforced two factor authentication for all faculty and staff. They require daily verification codes. How often does your system require faculty and staff to authenticate?
