Looking to buy a 2000 V6 3.3

Hello,

Looking to buy a Nissan Frontiee 4x4 V6 3.3 auto, crew cab, no rust on the body and on the frame, 66,800km on the clock, A/C and 4x4 works, start right up.

The guy is asking for 9k CDN. I have Toyota Tacomas near me asking 10k for 2005 with 300k on the clock.

Is it worth it? Is there anything to do shortly on the mechanic?

Thanks!

GMT 400 vs Ford F-150

Hello there, I'm going to buy a new "old" truck!

I have 2 choices,

1- Chevy GMT 400 1998, automatic, single cab, 8 foot bed, 2x4, V6 4.3, 150,000km. No rust, new paint, interior perfect condition. 6500$ CDN

2- F-150 1987, 4.9l I6, manual, single cab, 8 foot bed, 2x4, the guy just strip down everything to the frame, welded, filled, sanded and paint the whole truck like new, new interior, 115,000km. 8500$ CDN

My question: for a daily driver, parts availlability, mpg, i'll do my own mechanic on it, etc, which one should I buy?

Many thanks!

What 2x4 welding lens should I buy?

Hi there, I was wondering what 2x4 welding lenses you guys are running and what you’d recommend. I’ve had philips fixed shade and Tefuawe #10 auto-darkening options for my hood. I’m curious what everyone prefers for different processes like SMAW, FCAW, MIG, and TIG.

Right now I mostly do TIG and MIG sometimes FCAW and some stick welding at home but I’m interested in trying a better quality lens because the cheap ones I’ve used tend to have poor clarity and cause more eye fatigue after long days.

I’ve heard a lot about brands like CMR, Ridge, the new Tefuawe Gold variable shade and True Color, but I’d like some real-world opinions before buying.

What shade are you guys using most often? Variable shades sounds like it would suits me in a fab shop.

Open to any recommendations or setups you’ve been happy with.
