Happy Sunday fry up to all who celebrate

Every Sunday morning !

No space in freezer for hashies atm so unfortunately they’re missing

Weird texture keeps coming back

Get these little bumps under my skin on my chin mostly (but a couple random ones pop up other places). No pain or anything if I squeeze it it’s like white then no bleeding or weeping. They’ll go away but come back pretty quick.

Routine atm is - micellar water, L’Oréal revitalift & the neutrogena spot action salicylic gel.

Any (affordable pls) advice on how to prevent this??

New build garden - our first garden 11 months in :) scroll for before

Summer update !

Everything is in bloom and it feels like it looks better every day!

We have more plans for a pergola and a raised veggie bed but that will have to wait until next year (££)

After months of graft doing all of this ourselves it’s so rewarding to see everything bloom and get to enjoy the space !

If anyone wants to see pics of the stages I have those as well - we did all the levelling & hard landscaping ourselves, grass from seed, plants from very small & have just let the magic happen :)

New build garden after 10 months with newbie gardeners - scroll for before

Excuse the classic grey June day in england uk but we’re chuffed for 10 months work & we’ve done it all ourselves on a pretty tight budget (we need a bit more edging haha) most plants are from the range, B&Q, home bargains or our local garden centre reduced to clear or offers

You can see from the befores the absolute state the developers left the garden for us

In our 20’s & newly caught the gardening bug so we’re definitely newbies!

Any tips / ideas are welcome 🥰

New build garden 10 months later

10 months since the dirt patch !

We have done all the work ourselves, including laying the patio & making the sleeper beds & seeding the grass (we’ve ran out of edging for the back border lol)

We are loving gardening and loving our space

It’s so rewarding to see everything finally bloom and come to life

We’ve been on a tight budget - I added it up and we’ve spend just under £4K all in (materials, plants etc) which I don’t think is bad going

Next stop … add somewhere to try our hands at growing veg?

We’re trying some cuttings on the sideboard in the kitchen haha

Is recovery possible?

Can anyone share positive recovery stories?

I feel like I’m in a constant battle with myself and I’m exhausted. I want to know if there’s a way out. I’m scared that recovery automatically means weight gain. I’m not that small anyway - US size 4/6, UK size 8/10.

I feel depressed after my B/P’s. I just feel flat. I don’t even enjoy it anymore. I used to do it for the entertainment I guess? The loss of control was nice. It was fun even. Have whatever I want. But now I just feel like I’m B/Ping on food that I don’t even really enjoy. Then I feel numb after.

I hate that I feel like I’m lying to my partner and my friends and family.

I just want to feel normal :( I sometimes think what could I have spent that time / money doing if I wasn’t doing this??

I don’t really feel like there are resources out there for recovery if you can’t afford therapy. I’ve tried GLP1’s and it worked for a bit then feel like my ED outshone it. I didn’t gain or lose weight but the relief from the constant mental noise was nice whilst it lasted. Then it came back 🤷🏼‍♀️.

So yeah - any positive stories or advice I would appreciate.

So we have 4 young silver birch. They’ve been planted in our garden for a little over a year & have grown a lot. (UK - cotswolds)

They get full sun almost all day.

Two of them are growing very upright branches and 2 have very like drooping branches (as pictured)

Is this ok?? I don’t really know anything about trees

They definitely have enough water & are covered in new growth - actually the drooping only started once the new growth did!

Any advice?

First time gardener - climbing rose

I’m a first time gardener trying to train a David Austin generous gardener rose along / up my garden wall. Cotswolds UK. This wall is east facing in a south facing garden if that makes sense so it gets full sun almost all day. I used the rose funghi powder stuff when I planted it.

It’s training on a horizontal wire because I read that’s what you’re meant to do 🧐

First picture is the rose today and second is when I planted it 5 weeks ago.

I’ve pruned some of the crowded / crossing canes away to try and improve airflow (had a bit of a black spot thing so tried that & some rose clear spray)

I’ve been in a constant battle with f***ing aphids who eat any bud that comes up 😭. Who knew they’d be my new arch nemesis. The rose clear spray is meant to stop them but seems to make no difference.

I feed it every 14 days with rose feed - I’ve read that when it starts flowering I could switch to tomato feed??

Does anyone have any advice? Particularly on how to train it or just anything general?
