Honvich’s pet(animation thing)
Originally wanted to make this a slideshow but I didn’t want to miss the opportunity to add the sound at the end.(btw does anyone know where I can find the game’s sprites)
So since we’re about 8 days away, just gonna remind y’all about this lil post
What do you think about Genjo?(and could he be the final villain?)
Now I really like genjo, he might be my favorite character other than granit. Honestly one of the biggest reasons is how fast he put kaito in his place, since I kind of sort of hate kaito.(they did a good job at making a hatable villain). But I also want to share my theory of him being the final boss. It already feels likely we’re going to have a human final boss in beatbreak, as we’ve never had a human as the FINAL villain(kuratu isn’t the final boss of savers), but it could be genjo. I wasn’t expecting wong to die so early, and let’s face it, he’ll be back later, as I was expecting genjo to stab him in the back. Let’s review, the other 5 star underestimate genjo, seeing him as a kyo replacement, he seems interested in tomoro and gekkomon, repeatedly dragging them into dangerous situations and purposely baiting them into entering the arena, and he just has suspicious vibes overall.
Uhhhh…that was fast
Honestly I didn’t even mean for it to be that quick
Nefarious for switch
Nefarious is a pretty old game(9 years ago) and it’s not really well known nowadays. It was succeeded by a web comic, but the creator is off on other projects. I got it off sale after wanting to get it for a while and I LOVED it. It’s a game where you play as the arch nemesis of a hero, crow. After finally winning, crow kickstarts his plans to conquer the world, and you have to travel, kidnapping princesses while fighting the heroes in reverse boss fights. Sure, some people might call it pretty unpolished, some people might say it has choppy sound design, but I still really like it, the boss fights are decent and the music is SO GOOD. The characters are also charming, designs, dialogue, etc, crow is one of my favorite video game protags and characters. I really wish this game got more attention nowadays but I also kind of see why it doesn’t. Still, you should check it out, it runs fine on my switch, it’s 15 dollars in the eshop, which might seem like a bit too much to ask for but whatever. There’s also some music videos online and even a sequel in the form of a webcomic as I mentioned, so maybe try giving this game a chance.
Can we appreciate the “word” gag from chapter 3?
I love how stupid the joke is, it looks like something straight out of spongebob or the deltarune ribbit mos
Cute lil scamp
Found out about this ps2 cardcaptor sakura game from caddicarus and jump is in it and is absolutely adorable she’s so freaking cute
(Rant) kaiser sigma is sigma’s worst form
Now for me, megaman x3 is a bit hard to enjoy, other then x7(yes I enjoy x6),it feels like the worst game for me, not because I think it’s a bad game, but it just feels boring. It has a LOT of collectibles, feels brutal at the start due to how much damage you take without the chest armor, and just doesn’t really feel as fun as the other 2 snes games. One of the only things I like about it is the nightmare police(ESPECIALLY BIT I LOVE HIM), but it doesn’t really seem bad either, kind of just meh. But something I UTTERLY despise about this game is the final boss, sigma. I get that this was only the third game in the series, so the fatigue from sigma wasn’t as bad yet, but not only is it tragic that doppler gets pushed aside last minute(not as bad as gate getting pushed aside tho), the sigma fight sucks, although if you think otherwise that’s fine. Firstly, his sprite just looks weird. Design wise, it’s pretty solid, but the sprite just looks off, especially with the small head. Some of the boss sprites in this game already look a bit out of place(blast hornet and neon tiger), but the prototype sprites for sigma just look MILES better and more accurate then the weird and stiff looking final sprite. Second, the fight doesn’t feel epic unlike the other sigma fights. X1 sigma is climactic due to being the first game, and both x1 and 2 sigma fights feel nerve wrecking due to how fast and intense sigma comes at you. All kaiser sigma does is shoot fire balls and jump from side to side. The music is also just…stale, both of the phase 1 and 2 themes, especially compared to his past themes. The normal boss and doppler stage boss themes already suffer from just being 10 second loops, although this one isn’t as bad as those other 2. The second phase is just really bad. “Oh no you’re a wall now” sigma once again feels climactic, vector sigma is unique as instead of turning into some giant robot, he abuses the power of the cx4 chip, all final sigma 3 does is move from side to side, firing missiles at you, and he has a very small hitbox that makes charge shots your only viable option. The final body itself looks nice, with a mouth on it’s chest and busters for shoulders, but it just feels like a drag to fight, even beast sigma from xtreme 2 and incomplete sigma from x6 feel more exciting to fight than this. Even after all of that, he still tries to hit you with a lava pit that can insta kill you if you fall. Chase sequences in games can be done well pretty easily, but this is a time where it isn’t as you’re just wall jumping. Overall, I just hate x3 sigma and I think it’s the worst form he’s had in the entire series. Feel free to share what you think.
Why does it feel like this frame changes the context of the scene
“How aunts you’ve never seen before be treating you at family reunions”
My god he just looks so sick of her
What are your thoughts on the xtreme series?
Recently I got reminded of this series after someone made a remake of it.
Personally I LOVE it, whether that’s a hot take or not, but I prefer the 2nd game. One of the things I love is how cool the original antagonists are, for example zain and gareth, zain has probably one of my favorite designs in the megaman games. There are a few issues of course, like the limitations of the games due to being on the gameboy color, xtreme 2missing it’s chance to expand iris and zero’s relationship, and personally for me, there’s not really an incentive to play through xtreme mode in 1 unlike in 2, sure it’s only there for the full experience, but I like how 2 encourages you more with the final fight against sigma and getting to fight all of the mavericks with either x or zero, as neither can usually fight each other’s mavericks. 2 also has a really nice fight against sigma, it’s not too hard, but it also forces you to swap between x and zero to hurt him. I recently revisited and completed the 2 games. 1 also has a small issue where in normal and hard mode, you can find and fight zain and geemel before their fortress fights, but there’s not really a reason to fight them, unlike the x hunters, who give you zero’s parts. Maybe they could have made it so in xtreme mode, fighting these 2 and doing some other things can contribute to an ending where you can save techno and middy. It’s neat how the games have also been referenced, like the erasure incident being mentioned in x6, and berkana and gareth appearing in worlds unite. Overall, I just see them as 2 neat little games, what do y’all think?
So who’s your favorite maverick boss in the x series?
While I like some others like boomer kuwanger and magna centipede, I’ve really grown to like metal shark player, I like his thing of being a robot necromancer but also a mad scientist, he also just has a really cool design
