This has happened on three separate visits now.
Every time I grab one of those metal trolleys at IST, I eventually get a ridiculously strong static zap from it. Not the tiny annoying kind, it actually hurts.
Three different visits, three times the same thing.
Please tell me I’m not the only one 😂
Is there something about the floor + trolley combination there that creates insane static electricity?

Mir ist am Arbeitsplatz etwas aufgefallen, das ich ehrlich gesagt nicht verstehe.
Wenn ein Inder, Pole oder Engländer dazukommt, wechseln viele Schweizer sofort und selbstverständlich auf Englisch, damit alle mitkommen.
Kommt stattdessen ein deutscher Kollege dazu, wird oft konsequent Schweizerdeutsch weitergesprochen, obwohl klar ist, dass er vieles nicht versteht.
Warum?
Warum gilt Inklusion offenbar für Englisch, aber nicht für Hochdeutsch?
Liegt es daran, dass:
- Deutsche sich gefälligst anpassen sollen?
- man Deutschen zeigen will, wer hier das Sagen hat
- man bewusst eine gewisse Distanz schaffen möchte?
- man Deutschen das Gefühl geben will, dass sie Gäste sind?
- Schweizerdeutsch als eine Art “Gatekeeper” genutzt wird?
- Hochdeutsch als unangenehm oder sogar als Fremdsprache empfunden wird?
Mich interessieren die ehrlichen Beweggründe. Nicht die diplomatischen Standardantworten, sondern das, was im Arbeitsalltag tatsächlich dahintersteckt.

what are the usual interest rates right now?
how much would the monthly payments roughly be?
which banks offer the best conditions?
can Macedonian citizens living abroad get a mortgage?
can foreign income be used when applying for a mortgage in Macedonia?
My entire income and assets are currently outside Macedonia. I have income from abroad, I also own a business, and I own real estate from which I receive rental income.
Would Macedonian banks take this into account if I want to apply for a mortgage or get a financial overview / pre-approval?
Where can I get reliable information about this? Are there mortgage brokers, advisors, or bank contacts who can explain the process?

but it does not seem to work properly for me. Maybe there are access restrictions from outside the country?
Is there another official website or another way to access cadastral information?
I’m also interested in finding:
land prices,
property prices,
or recent real estate sale prices in North Macedonia.
Is there an official database, map, or website people usually use for this?
