Most versatile Magic System?
What would you say is the best independent magic system to have Cosmere wide? I think it’s between Feruchemy and Aon Dor, with Feruchemy edging it out by not needing to be on Sel to be useful.
What are your thoughts?

So I have a concept for a character for the Cosmere RPG but also as just an OC in one of my favorite IPs. The concept is as follows, a martial artist irali that becomes a dustbringer because his father trained him. I’m working on backstory and stuff but essentially I want him to become a dust bringer who never used a weapon, he would use division and abrasion to keep his martial arts wildly effective. Instead I was thinking that at the 4th ideal that the armor would spawn in separate from the radiant and be taken control by the ashspren while in a weapon form essentially spawning in another fighter to help out. Also I thought about giving the spren the personality/memories of the boys father.
How lore friendly is my idea? I’ve read up to WaT so I’m not concerned for spoilers. Are there things that I can change to keep the concept alive but within lore?
Thanks for the advice.
What would be the best way to make my storm sorcerer be a rad orb/reverb build along with lightning wet?
Do I just outfit him the same a light cleric?
Edit: Plan to go Storm all the way 12
I have read Mistborn Era 1 and now WOK.
Let me tell you WOK is a tough read until about chapter 40ish. I had to force myself to read this book, and now I’m fully locked in to it. I have been listening to WoR and can’t get enough. I don’t think I would have stuck with it if it wasn’t for Dalinar to be honest, but now am glad I did.
I hated Shallan and Jasnah and now am genuinely happy to see what they are up to. Kaladin was boring but now I see his nuances and find him very intriguing. Of course Dalinar is still my guy, and his honor is a something I admire about him.
I don’t think I would ever reread this book but I am
Glad I stuck it out and finally finished.
I am finally in! I have been struggling for months to get locked in on Stormlight but today it happened. I’m chapter 53 and I finally feel like it’s catching my interest.
I wanted to play a character with my friends and I love Dalinar in the books. He is my favorite and was hoping if I can get some non spoilers tips on he would be best built in Dnd. I’m thinking a Paladin Oath of the Crown.
Edit: Only book 1 as I’m on only book1.
Is there any reason to not go cleric for 6 levels to get extra spell slots for paladin instead of sorcerer? I know they use different casting ability, but I would use more of the buffs and utility ;and would still focus mainly on charisma with smiting being my main goal. I’m thinking between light, tempest, and war.
Are you guys for a faithful reimagining of the Original story or are you hoping for something unique on its own that shares some similar story beats (William black vs the courts etc…)?
With it being a reboot Im excited to see how they will bring fable to life in a new way, but I would be lying if I said I didn’t want the Hero of Oakvale, Theresa, and other characters from the first game making an appearance somehow.
Looking to make a party of all swordsmen for an honor mode run. I know I can make them all shadow blade if I wanted to, but I prefer not too. Can you help me plan out the best weapon for each build?
Shadow Blade-Bladesinger Wizard
???-Paladin oath of ????
?????-Hexbuckler
Dual wield ??????-Ranger Beastmaster
I’m open to all advice and recommendations. I just had the idea of a cool party full of sword masters, and wanted to see how the story would end. I have some races in mind but let me know what you guys would choose as well.
I’d like for the paladin to use some sort of greatsword, while the hexbuxkler uses a rapier, and the dual wielder idk. I’m open to changing it as well.
Also if you can include act1->act2->act3 progression.
Do you miss out on a lot by going to the graphic vs pure audiobook?
