Trying to find which episode from TESD has this in it at the start.

it would have been around 2015 i think. the episode had Walt saying "do you hear that? can you hear the roar of the ants? they're calling to me." then had Sunday Jeff coming in saying "tallest dwarf in the circus". its been bugging me for ages and i still cant find the episode.

Being kicked off cable max in Geelong.

On Wednesday morning I woke up to find my cable max modem was no longer working correctly. No wifi and the ethernet ports were no longer working.

I called iiNet support, who escalated it to level 2.

Followed up with them Thursday night. To be told a replacement would be sent out at a cost to me. I disputed having to be charged as I've been a customer for over a decade. How that I shouldn't have to pay for a replacement of a product they own, not me. Then get told they are sending me a replacement for free but I will have to pay the shipping cost. Okay whatever just get me the cable modem.

This morning I check my email and it has the brand and model TP-LINK TD-W9970. Curious I look it up, "oh this isn't for cable".

Call them to only be told, oh your product is now discontinued and are being moved to vdsl. You also now have to wait now for a technician to come out to install the new one.

Excuse me, no one told me this at all during any previous conversation. So now I'm going to go down in speed and be paying more, while also waiting for a time for a technician to come out.

I find it pretty coincidental that my cable modem suddenly dies of a technical fault, a system they can remotely log into the back end of. Then to be told na stiff can't fix it, you're now being pushed on to this product. Enjoy the slower speed and $10 more month.
