Is this normal on YouTube?

Hi guys,

I posted our first video to YouTube 67 days ago. The idea for the channel is get my kids outdoors and active while bonding with them. The idea for the channel was my 8 year old but seeing his enthusiasm for it and subsequently the hikes etc has made me pursue it.

I know it’s a tiny channel that is only new. And the concept of the channel is probably relatively niche. So I understand that we aren’t going to be getting millions of views or anything. But looking at these numbers of views in the time the channel is posting videos. Is this normal? Below average? Or what am I missing with regards to trying to push the videos for more views? Also, is it normal for YouTube to totally stop pushing videos. Any advice on this at all would be great.

My three videos:

4weeks ago - 67 views
3 weeks ago - 32 views
12 days ago - 85 views

New YouTube Channel

Hi guys. I am relatively new to YouTube and also Reddit. So apologies if some of this is stupid. I have started a YouTube channel with my two sons, 8 and 4 years old. Mostly the 8 year olds idea. We have a channel that is all about getting outdoors, hiking and being active and about a father spending time with his sons. We have made 3 videos and posted the 3 of them over the past 28 days. None of the videos are getting many views. 60 views being the highest.

I have worked hard on the thumbnails and titles to make them as appealing etc as possible. I have sought the advice of…ChatGPT on some of this too which is maybe where I’m going wrong. Is it simply that the content is not good enough or engaging enough for people to click on or is this normal with new channels finding its feet. My goal is to try get views on the channel that will help to encourage my son’s interest in getting out hiking with me mostly. I dint expect to be Mr. Beast haha

Again, i apologise if this thing is very obvious but id love to hear people’s advice as to how they are getting on setting up their channels and what they done to drive views.

Sugarloaf hike with small kids

Brought my young lads (8 and 4) up Sugarloaf and filmed the climb - they absolutely loved it.

Thought I'd post it here in case anyone's doing the hike soon or wants to see the route. Very family friendly climb and a great day out
