I need advice from others that have experienced acute pancreatitis, and put their dog back on their old food

My 16-year-old Pomeranian Chihuahua mix is in overall very good health but had a bout of acute pancreatitis a couple of weeks ago, and although it was quickly and easily resolved (she refused one meal and vomited when I tried to force feed her and then had one episode of bloody diarrhea and I rushed her right into the vet for IV fluids, which fixed her right up and she was chowing down again the same day. Her pancreatic enzyme blood test was very high though according to the vet (2000 where anything over 400 is considered pancreatitis) and he saying he now wants her on the can low fat royal canin crap forever and I just can’t do her like that. She has lost almost a pound despite me feeding her all day long, it sticks to her teeth like glue, and I just don’t believe that she’s going to enjoy the same robust health she had when she was eating Raw. Her diet had nothing to do with her getting pancreatitis, it was an idiot giving her a chunk of cheese, and she absolutely will never be getting any treats again. I keep her with me 24 hours a day baby gated into the same room with me and don’t even go to the bathroom without taking her with me and take her everywhere I go out of the house even to my clients homes to make 100% certain. I actually used to have her on quite high fat food (her food was based on 85% lean ground beef with supplements mixed in) and I’m looking to put her back on much lower fat (starting with 99% lean ground beef from Springer Hills Ranch and then progress maybe to a maximum of 96% lean ground beef) I’m not sure if I should cook it at least initially to get rid of as much fat as possible-I am looking for a nutritionist/dietitian to hire to take care of this for me, but I haven’t found an amazing one yet

Dry fried (fat free) egg white cauliflower “fried rice” with dry stir fried soy sauce broccoli/cauliflower florets & low fat chicken sausage-approx 177.718 calories

I literally feel like I’m eating luxurious gourmet food right now and it’s crazy lol I know it might sound a little odd with the soy sauce vegetables and then chicken sausage with marinara but you really can’t taste the marinara at all. It’s just to keep the chicken sausage, moist cause I cooked a bunch of it at once and needed to use it up. All veggies cooked with nothing but soy sauce and salt and chicken sausage has a little bit of “Slap Yo Mama” sugar-free low-fat sensitive tomato sauce. HUGE amount of food (not sure on exact calories but I only use like 1/8 of the batch of cauliflower rice and 1/6 of the veggies and about 2 ounces of leftover chicken sausage. First time doing it without any spray oil because it’s a total lie about it being with 0 cal-that’s for like a 1/32 sec spray-it’s actually like 50 cal and 5 g of fat for a five second spray which is about how much you actually use minimum. Turned out fine😊

Cauliflower rice (36 ounces frozen cauliflower rice and 32 ounce egg whites (measured raw) 727 cals whole huge batch (I scooped out about 1/8 for this meal) so 90.875 calories

12 ounces each cauliflower and broccoli florettes 172 cal for entire thing and I used about 1/6 so 28.667 calories

10 tablespoons soy sauce for whole batch 100 cal so like 12 calories for this meal

2 ounces natures promise sweet Italian chicken sausage with kale 41.176 cal

1 TBS flap your mama sensitive marinara 5 calories

So ugly but so delicious😋 chicken sausage and broccoli cauliflower “rice” stirfry

429 cal for the whole recipe and I’ll be able to eat on that for days😊 also 57.8 g of protein! Not all of the veggies are pictured because I couldn’t fit them all so I have a whole additional Tupperware of veggies
Same base recipe as the one I posted yesterday-12 ounces of frozen riced cauliflower dumped into a pan on medium high and only stirred every two minutes until almost done, then I added 2 tablespoons of soy sauce and pushed it on one side and quick, scrambled about 10 ounces of egg whites on the other side and then mixed it all together. This time, though I took a small bag of cauliflower and a small bag of broccoli florettes and cut them into small pieces and stirfryed then afterwards to where they were kind of browned and tossed in a little bit of leftover chicken sausage.

BEST DAMN THING EVER

OMG 207 cal huge delicious batch of cauliflower “fried” rice

it may not be pretty, but OMG I feel like I’ve discovered an infinite life hack with this. ❤️❤️❤️
Spray pan with nonstick spray and heat on medium high.
Dump a 12 ounce bag of frozen cauliflower rice directly in while still frozen after it heats up. It’s critical not to defrost first for best texture.
Leave it alone for two minutes at a time and stir and toss and repeat until it’s starting to turn lightly golden
Scrape all the cauliflower rice over onto one side
Add 2 to 3 tablespoons of soy sauce to rice and 6 to 8 egg whites to the other side of the pan and quickly scramble them and then mix everything together.

I’m so obsessed with the flavor and one batch is enough to keep me full and happy all day. I actually made a triple batch because I literally hate cooking lol and it had this whole container jammed full. You’re welcome!

OMG cauliflower fried rice

I feel like I’ve discovered an infinite life hack lol. This might be one of the most life-changing recipes I’ve ever made. I started out with a tablespoon of butter and a still frozen 12 ounce bag of cauliflower rice. You distribute it evenly into the pan after adding the butter and letting it melt and then leave it be for two minutes, stir, and repeat until it is light golden brown. Push “rice” one side and dump in in some egg whites (not sure how many I used but probably about 6 to 8 because I saved the egg whites from the taw organic pastured egg yolks I give my animals all the time and just dumped em in) scramble quickly and mix with the cauliflower rice and then add soy sauce to taste (we were out of soy sauce in a bottle, and I used four fast food packets). I’m gonna be weaning down the amount of butter to see how little I can get away with, but I wanted to make the recipe as is the first time. As is with the full tablespoon of butter, the macros are
Total Calories: ~309 kcal
Total Protein: ~23g
Total Fat: ~12g
Total Carbs: ~10g
You’re welcome😊
