Need some advice

It's day 22 and I'm trying to get the dusk ordeal done, but there's a few complications that keep getting in my way. That being Army In Pink, Giant Tree Sap, and of course making it through all the ordeals up to Dusk. So far I haven't even gotten to the actual dusk ordeal

Do 2033 and Last Light give you ANY sort of explanation on how to get the good endings?

I'm not a fan of being forced into relying on third party stuff like wikis or walk-throughs. It just ruins the experience imo
