And...Korean BL has come a long way.

The enemies to Lovers trope isn't new from the likes of 'Long time no see' to this new BL being so well done.

The reveal behind the past connection of the Main characters was so well done.

The betrayal, the kisses, the yarning was all worth it.

But my favorite scene has to be the scene Chae Ha followed Tae Seon to his home after he unknowimgly kept him worried all night. A perfect Enemies to Lovers plot turn.

All in all the Themes potrayed are REAL.Corruption and Politics. In addition BL based on 'Laws and Justice' isn't very common and was an interesting change.

I've been thinking of the similarities between what (Kieran and Poppy) and (Attes and Sotoria) share. It hinted how history repeats itself in every bloodline.

He explains that accepting she could never be his, yet wanting her happiness, was the purest form of love.!<

Both acknowledge that she isn't entirely theirs but would do absolutely anything that would bring her peace. >!Poppy is the Reincarnation of Sotoria!<

Like Attes, Kieran loves Poppy unconditionally without ever threatening or trying to overwrite her primary bond with Casteel. (We see this in POBAB Chapter 53)

Just Completed the entire series and well...

This book is probably one of my favorites in B&A series.

After POBAB heartbreak this was what we needed.

>!Specifically chapter 'A Golden Cage' when Cas and Kieran finally talk to each other and mend their friendship."I shouldn't have blind sided you"(Kieran),"I never really blamed you,Kieran. Not in any way that made a difference(Casteel)"!<

That scene made me tear up. At least now we know the next book will be less heart breaking...hopefully

In F&F series when Sera wakes up from Stasis, we learn that there can only be one ember. She points out that Nyktos and Kolis both have the "Embers of Death" An unnatural order a 'lack of balance' (There can only be one Primal of Death)

Sera being the 'True Primal of life' and in the B&A series we learn that Poppy has Both Embers of 'life and Death'

Knowing this makes me worry about the ending of the series. Will Poppy become the True Primal of 'life or Death?' Will Kolis and Nyktos have to die making Poppy the True Primal of Death? Will Sera make Poppy the True Primal of Life? Is it possible that Casteel will become the Primal of Death?(He doubts himself so much so that I'm beginning to think he may have a bigger Destiny)

All in all the series seems to be gearing towards a major character Death. Poppy is also written as a character who fears her 'Dark Side' her 'Darkness' and its partly the reason, besides Kolis, that she's Entombed.

Hope this series has a happy ending.
