Ping Rock at Work
I’m not sure how I missed the existence of this group but I found it now. :-)
Here is a large ping rock that I constructed where I work, about three years ago now.

Plant/garden geek, language nerd and music dude who loves travel (when the plants allow it), cooking, and humor of questionable taste. I live in White Center, practically.
Chào mọi người,
I was in HCMC in February and a couple times I came across this leaf in the mountain of herbs that comes with bánh xèo. I’ve never seen it in the US and wonder if it’s being raised here at all? It’s crisp and slightly tart. Does anyone know its name? Thanks in advance.
(By the way, the first Chinese phrase is “I don’t believe you.” The second is a Chinese proverb that says, “the horse does not know its face is long; the monkey does not know its ass is red.”
This one took a little longer than I expected. She has self-confidence, that’s for sure. I can’t load the whole thing so I will have to do a second post to finish it
My first submission, I think. I was cleaning the fridge and found a small Tupperware container with some clearly expired tomato paste in it. I’ve seen my share of old food but the spiky growth is…special. I wonder what it might be - probably not mold…a bacterial colony?
She ghosted me. Why can’t I get a date? 😢
Two friends Yannis and Giorgos, grew up in Athens, and were practically inseparable. Then when it came time to go to college, one of them moved to Thessaloniki up north, well the other one moved down to Crete. They didn’t see each other for years and years and eventually lost contact with each other until one day they ran into each other while back in Athens for the holidays.
“Yanni!” “Giorgo!” they exclaimed and started catching up. “ Wow,” says Giorgo, “It’s been so long! What have you been up to? I seem to remember hearing that you had a daughter! How is she? She must be grown by now!”
“Yeah,” says Yanni, “She got married to a banker. He was a wonderful guy, made a good living. We celebrated that wedding for three days! Things went great for a while, but they eventually had problems and they got a divorce. Then she got married to a surgeon. A really smart guy, handsome, and of course he made lots of money. We celebrated that wedding for five days! But you know, kids these days… They just couldn’t see eye to eye on certain things and they ended up getting a divorce. Then she met this son of a shipping family. Really good family, lots of connections, crazy rich. we celebrated that wedding for a whole week! Things went pretty well for about a year, now they’re having some problems, we’ll see how they manage. What about you? I heard that you had a daughter too!
“Yeah, says Giorgos, “our daughter’s a whore too, but we don’t celebrate it…”
“
… so he went to his father and said, “dad, please, tell me what I’m supposed to do! I don’t wanna make a fool of myself!”
Dad said, “don’t worry son, this girl knows a thing or two. You just do what she does, and everything will be just fine.”
So they get married, they go home, the time comes and the bride gets up and goes into the bedroom. The groom follows her in.
The bride takes off her clothes, so the groom takes his off.
The bride lies on the bed, so the groom lies next to her.
The bride opens her legs and raises them into the air, so the groom, none the wiser, does the same.
They lie there for few minutes, and finally the bride says, “wouldn’t it be cool if someone came along and fucked us?”
