Location: Utah, Okay so this is super wild and doesn’t even seem real.

About 11 years ago I knew someone who was pregnant, I happened to be pregnant at the same time. She had other kids she homeschooled and she lived off the state and benefits. She never got medical care for the baby and delivered at home. Shortly after we lost contact.

Fast forward her older child (Amy) got in touch with my child(Nikki) Both were around 10 at the time the baby was born. Amy reached out because of a legal case against her sexual abuser and asked if Nikki remembered anything that happened. Which in talking about everything Nikki asked Amy how her little sister was, referring to the baby who should now be about 10. Amy was genuinely confused and asked who Nikki was talking about. Amy was there when the baby was born, witnessed the baby being born, when she was about 9-10 years old herself. So this was obviously weird. When Nikki pushed more in a later conversation Amy claimed that the baby went crazy and now lives in a psyche ward.

I have racked my brain, I have dug online and I cannot find any information on this baby. I have a picture of myself holding my baby and the baby in question but ultimately that’s the only proof I have this baby ever existed. I can’t fight the sick feeling that the mother did something to the baby. Her lifestyle was why we parted ways, she openly did drugs while pregnant with all her kids. Just all around reckless behavior.

I don’t even know if something has been done. I don’t know what to do with the weird info I do have. I have tried to let it go but it haunts me since finding out the baby is missing. Any advice is welcome.
