SoulCalibur 3 just got a new option for netplay

So Arkadyzja just dropped it's PS2 netplay update. For those who don't know what it is, it's a emulator frontend/matchmaking client like Fightcade, but mainly used for PS1 and 4 player titles. It's still delay based as rollback is just not feasible, but it's as good as Dolphin netplay which is good enough to spectate and play NA East Coast to EU in my experience.

Ren just dropped the article without paywall on Patreon.

Played some SC3 Ivy on a stream today

Ended up learning last night 6B+K can set up Summon Suffering, so pulling it out in a live match was neat. Thought I might as well show off.

I think it's safe to skip on Persona 4 Revival

They disconfirmed gay romance being in the game. I know "losing chess to a dog", but you actually expect me to blow $70 USD on a remake of a game that pissed me off for being homophobic?

Which of these line ups is more cursed?

For context, I joined a bi-weekly online exhibition due to cheering on the partner playing Bloody Roar. On Sundays we play a line up of fighting games people vote on, and sometimes the picks can get cursed.

Hit Gold in Killer Instinct 2013 for the first time, here's the promotion match

I just felt like rank grinding with my CvS2 Cammy imitating Riptor today. I only got back into fighters and into KI 2013 this year, but it's been pretty fun. Inventive cast, great music, and all that. I don't normally hit milestones like this and I really didn't expect this game to have an active online playerbase, but I felt like sharing.

Ok which of you thought this was funny (SoulCalibur 2 Plus mod)

Ok so my bf asked me the other night about learning SC2+ Lizardman for an exhibition he was unable to go to, we ended up playing it for practice, I remember hearing costumes were added, lo and behold I saw you added a Yoshi recolor to Lizardman. I don't know if I should exaggerate offense or just laugh, but it definitely counter hit me.

This sub really needs a clear "No AI generated content rule"

I feel this really needs to be said as a post. I'm sure most of us are sick of seeing AI generated content posted on this sub. I know it technically gets removed as low effort spam, but I feel making such a rule clearer will reduce the amount it appears on this sub.

I've found out there's a card game with a SoulCalibur set and Lizardman's in it

It's Universus. Now I just need to find out what I have to do to get a Lizardman deck, or if it's even good.

I asked my friend at Bandai-Namco, Maya Nus, about SoulCalibur VII and she decided to tell me these are the guests they have planned.

Apparently the company has been researching the fanbase and want to give us what they think we really want. What do you all think?

Hop on DragonBlast SE

Yes I'm aware it's a pain in the ass to set up. That it's technically unfinished and cancelled. That I can't fullscreen it. However hear me out, DragonBlast is basically Street Fighter with hot bara furries.

Ok there's my selling point, Mizuumi wiki is a great resource for learning about indie fighters btw. I say when I first saw DragonBlast in a accessibility discourse video of all things.

Hey fighting gaymers, who do you main and why?

Obvious engagement bait, but I was thinking about how some characters are commonly mained by gay men and me maining 2 women with purple and chains. So anyways, from what I play:

Street Fighter: A.K.I. Idk why but her moveset had a flow to it that clicked with me when I first tried SF6 with a buddy.

Guilty Gear: Dizzy. It's kinda funny, I thought she was impossible when I originally played +R, but I thought I liked zoners so I had to try and learn her someday. Once I realized what normals I should be using and that reverse Dragon Punch inputs are weirdly easier for me, she clicked. Still can't FRC, but I'm confident enough to use her when I rarely try ranked or a local.

SoulCalibur: Ivy. I don't care much for her default costume, but the alt costumes in most of the games are slay as they say, I like the long range normals, and you know hearing how to shortcut the funny command grab made picking up the character much less scary. Also hearing gay men commonly play her probably helped. Lizardman's also a main, though not as accessible or available throughout the games. More boring reason, I think he's hot and I kinda have to at least a rushdown to be competent with.

Uh that's it so far. I haven't played other series enough to decide who to stick with, and I don't play Smash anymore.

The worst part of waking up is remembering Lizardman isn't real

Just look at him. The pose. The face. Aeon's so charming, I wish I could find a guy like him to latch on to. Maybe I just need to touch grass, but my local isn't for another month.

What's your experience with "looking for" posts on this sub?

The topic came up when I was talking to someone who responded to the thread. I've only had 2 responders, but I now talk to one of them regularly so that's pretty cool. Though he's brought up that people here often flake out. So I'm wondering what's your experience, and why "looking for" threads are so common.

24M EST Looking for PC gaming buddies

I know. I'm doing this thread. I'll admit I don't know if I really qualify as gay given I'm just attracted to male furry characters and the idea of me dating anyone scares me, but I might as well put myself out there.

My main genre is the RPG, but I've had my interest in fighting games reignited as of late. SoulCalibur and Guilty Gear mainly, but I'm not opposed to Street Fighter or a fair amount of Fightcade stuff even though I don't have the former. Parsec's an option. I also play the Remnant games if you want something modern to co-op. I play on PC, mostly because I don't feel like paying for Switch and PS5 online.

I'm either chill or I'm on an impassioned rant on the mic if you let me get comfortable.
