Most recent collage zine

I started making collage zines using bargain bin comics a few months ago as a creative outlet. I’m at the point now where I want to push myself by interacting with other similar artists so here is my most recent one.

Each page in this one was made from a single issue. There’s no real coherence in theme, as I just tend to build off either an idea or piece of art that speaks to me.

New zine page

I make collage mini-zines out of bargain comics as an offline creative outlet. One of my favorite parts of this hobby is the nostalgic gut punch I get when I come across certain ads.

As such, I took inspiration from some 90s and 2000s comics (and a couple 80s) that I picked up recently and decided to throw together this piece.

I apologize if it’s a bit of a headache, there was just too much good stuff to use so I stuffed in everything I could.

New zine page

I started making collage zines out of bargain comics a few months ago as an offline creative outlet. In a recent batch of comics, I noticed there was a big promo spread designed to mimic a television tuned to a dead channel.

So, naturally, I had to pay homage to my favorite novel of all time.

I wouldn’t call this my most exciting set of pages, but I recently did a busier cyberpunk spread so I wanted to keep this one simple. If you’re interested to see the other one it’s in my recent post history.

P.S. the same comic also had an ad for the kickass 90s movie Hackers, which is where the skull came from.

My newest zine page.

I started creating mini-zines a few months ago as a creative outlet. Decided after a while to start using bargain comics as raw materials.

This collage was put together from a single issue of a comic called Shatter, which is a cyberpunk comic from 1987 that was marketed as “the first computerized comic.”

This is the first zine page I‘ve shared outside of my friends and family so I hope ya’ll dig it.
