Any advocates here? ⚖️

Just wondering if there are any fellow advocates from Gorakhpur or any other place in this community.
Would be nice to connect with people from the same profession, get to know each other, and maybe meet over a cup of coffee sometime.

Apparently, My iPhone Rant Is Too “Irrelevant” for GKP Reddit 😂

I posted a rant about my experience with the iPhone and got the classic response: “This is irrelevant to GKP.”
Fair enough, if the subreddit is strictly limited to Gorakhpur roads, food, traffic and local news.

But what I find funny is how quickly some people jump from “I don’t think this belongs here” to “this shouldn’t be posted at all.”

It’s a Reddit post, not a government notification.
If you don’t find the topic interesting, scroll past it. Downvote it. Ignore it. That’s literally how Reddit works.
What bothers me is the attitude that some people seem to have where they want to decide what everyone else is allowed to talk about.

And honestly, if the post isn’t breaking the rules, let the community decide whether it’s worth discussing.
Not every post has to be everyone’s cup of tea.

You don’t have to agree with a post. You don’t even have to like it. But trying to silence every opinion you personally find irrelevant defeats the whole point of having a community forum.

Thinking of switching to Android because of iPhone storage 💀

Nothing like paying a premium for an iPhone and then having it remind you every other day that you’re running out of storage.

Delete photos?
Still full.

Delete apps?
Still full.

Clear WhatsApp?
Still full.

Restart the phone?
“Storage Almost Full.”

At this point I’m convinced my iPhone has a personal commitment to making sure I never have free storage.
And of course, the solution is conveniently available:
“Buy more iCloud storage.” 🥰

Maybe I’m just old-fashioned, but I’d like to use the storage I already paid for without entering a monthly subscription relationship with Apple.

Honestly, I’m seriously considering switching to Android.
If Android lets me use my phone without playing “What can I delete today?”, I might never look back. 😂

Anyone else reached this level of iPhone-storage frustration?

Another murder in Gorakhpur — are we becoming too used to this?

The recent murder of a 52-year-old man in Gorakhpur, which police reportedly suspect may have been a revenge killing, is disturbing.

What worries me isn’t just the individual incident, but the pattern of violence and how quickly these cases seem to become yesterday’s news.

For people living in Gorakhpur:

Do you actually feel that crime and violence have increased in the city/district, or are we simply hearing about more cases because of social media and local news?

Would genuinely like to hear what people have experienced or noticed.

What’s the biggest problem with living in Gorakhpur right now?

I’ve been thinking about this lately.
Gorakhpur has changed a lot over the past few years — better roads in many areas, new businesses, more cafés, malls, development, etc. But there are still some things that genuinely make day-to-day life difficult.
So, for people who actually live in Gorakhpur:
What do you think is the single biggest problem with living here right now?
Traffic?
Public transport?
Roads and drainage?
Pollution?
Employment opportunities?
Healthcare?
Education?
Lack of nightlife/social spaces?
Civic sense?
Something else?
I’m curious what people who actually live here think — not what politicians or news reports say.
And if you could fix one thing in Gorakhpur tomorrow, what would it be?

Is Gorakhpur’s influencer scene growing?

I’ve been noticing quite a few influencers and content creators from Gorakhpur lately — food, travel, fashion, comedy, music, lifestyle, etc. Some of them have pretty big audiences too.
It got me thinking: once creators start doing brand collaborations and paid promotions, they can face issues like contracts, unpaid collaborations, copyright, fake accounts, defamation, cybercrime, and other legal problems.
Do Gorakhpur creators actually have access to proper legal guidance when these things happen?
If you’re a creator, influencer, photographer, videographer or work with brands in Gorakhpur, I’d love to hear your experience.
Do you think there’s a genuine need for lawyers who understand the creator economy in Gorakhpur, or is it not really a problem yet?

Lately I’ve been feeling tired all the time, and it’s starting to affect my day-to-day life. 😅

I’m sleeping enough (at least I think I am), but I still wake up feeling exhausted. Even simple tasks feel like they take way more effort than they used to. It’s not exactly sleepiness—more like having no energy or motivation throughout the day.
Has anyone else in Gorakhpur been feeling the same lately? Is it because of the weather, humidity, lifestyle, or could it be something else?
What helped you get your energy back? Did changing your diet, exercising, taking vitamins, fixing your sleep schedule, or getting any medical tests done make a difference?
I’d really appreciate any advice or personal experiences. Thanks in advance!

I think rain remembers what we try to forget.

Everyone says rain is peaceful.

I don’t think it is.

I think rain is loud enough to drown out the world, but never loud enough to silence your thoughts.

It has a habit of bringing back the conversations that ended too soon, the people who slowly became strangers, and the version of yourself that genuinely believed things would work out.

It’s strange. On sunny days, life keeps moving so fast that you don’t notice what’s missing.

But when it rains…

…every empty chair looks occupied by a memory.
Every road feels like it leads somewhere you can’t go back to.

Every song suddenly means something different.
Maybe that’s why I don’t hate rainy days. They don’t create sadness—they uncover the sadness that was already there, quietly waiting beneath all the noise.

The rain eventually stops.

The memories usually don’t.

The hardest part wasn’t losing her. It was losing the person I thought she was.

People always say, “Time heals everything.”

I don’t think that’s true.

Time doesn’t erase memories. It just teaches you how to carry them without letting them crush you every day.
There was someone I loved with everything I had. I believed every promise, every “forever,” every plan we made. I would’ve fought the world for her if I had to.
Then one day I realized I was the only one fighting.
The person I trusted the most became the reason I questioned everyone else. Not because she left, but because of the lies, the broken promises, and the way everything we built suddenly felt like it had never mattered.

For a long time, I kept asking myself what I did wrong. I replayed every conversation, every argument, every decision, hoping I’d find the exact moment where I ruined everything.

Eventually I understood something painful:
Sometimes you don’t lose someone because you weren’t enough. You lose them because they stopped choosing you.

That realization hurt more than the breakup itself.
Life moved on. I got married. I built a career. From the outside, everything looks fine. And honestly, I am happy with the life I’ve built.

But every once in a while, a song, a place, or an old memory reminds me of the version of myself that believed love was simple.

I don’t miss her anymore.
I miss the person I was before I learned that someone you trust completely can become a stranger overnight.

Does anyone have any update on Gorakhpur influencer Shweta Rai?

I’ve been trying to find any update on Shweta Rai from Gorakhpur after the tragic death of her brother, but there doesn’t seem to be much information available.
Does anyone know:
How she’s doing now?
Whether she’s made any public statement or update?
If there have been any developments in the case?
I’m only looking for verified information or credible sources. Please avoid rumours or unconfirmed claims.
Thanks.

Today I had one of the strangest experiences with Blinkit.

Earlier today, I ordered a bla bli blu perfume. When the delivery arrived, I opened the package only to find that the perfume box was completely empty. There was nothing inside.
I immediately tried calling the delivery partner, but he repeatedly declined my calls. When he finally answered, I explained the situation. Instead of helping, he simply said, “You’re educated, you know what to do. Go file a complaint.”
I told him that I would file a complaint and mention his name if necessary. His response was, “No problem. It doesn’t matter to me.”
I then reported the incident to Blinkit through their customer support.
To Blinkit’s credit, they acted promptly. A replacement perfume was delivered to my doorstep, and this time the box contained the actual product I had ordered.

While I’m satisfied that the issue was ultimately resolved, no customer should have to receive an empty product box or be treated dismissively when reporting a genuine problem. Professional conduct and proper quality checks are just as important as fast delivery.
Has anyone else experienced something similar with Blinkit or any other quick-commerce platform?

Fee for what? You used ChatGPT.” – A client actually said this to me

I am an advocate practicing in Gorakhpur and This happened to me on Instagram.
Someone DM’d me asking for legal advice. I understood the facts, identified the appropriate legal remedy, and then DM’d the remedy back to them. To save time, I used ChatGPT to draft the message, but I personally reviewed and verified every line before sending it.
When I asked for my consultation fee, they replied:
“Fee for what? You just used ChatGPT.”
That caught me off guard.
The value wasn’t in typing the message. It was in understanding the facts, identifying the correct legal remedy, and taking responsibility for the advice. ChatGPT only helped put my advice into words.
Has anyone else dealt with people who think using AI means your expertise is suddenly worth nothing?
