I drank 3 drinks again this morning for anxiety and heart rate - I can't shake it

I drank 9 drinks yesterday at a day party and maybe the day before that for another gathering. This morning, I woke up with a heart rate of 100 and worrying about everything, and couldn't sit still. I drank 3 drinks and feel calm now.

How do I get out of this? Don't recommend the sub "stopdrinking" because I posted there twice and they deleted it each time saying, "You need to be sober when posting." WTF? I am sober in the morning but the heart rate is unbearable.

I feel good after 3 drinks, but may need another drink around 12pm once my heart rate is feeling bad again

I've fallen into a trap!!! Hair of the Dog

I drink about 7-8 standard drinks a day, when using the online calculator. Then at around 12am and the next morning, I have tachycardia and my HR is around 120. It's a terrible feeling!

Then I drink 1-2 and I feel very calm and my HR goes back down to the 80's. The problem is that after that 1-2, drink more to keep the calm feeling. Otherwise, my HR increase and the anxiety worsens.

What's the next best step to handle this? Hair of the dog works but it only prolongs. Drink 1-2 and then stop? Taper? I fucking hate drinking now, it's a terrible feeling after you pass age 30.

Straight perm kit instead of no-lye relaxer

I wanted to try a straight perm kit to straighten my hair instead of the no lye relaxer ingredients. So it should use ammonium thioglycolate and then hydrogen peroxide in the 2nd step? Will this work? Can I do this at home and does it require heat?

Can someone please recommend a good brand/kit from Amazon or Target?

Alcohol, ETG in hair and testing

I am an LCSW, and send clients for Hair ETG testing for 3 month alcohol use, abstinence, low, moderate and heavy use testing. A colleague said I should stop ordering Hair ETG due to the ease of chemical treatments such as box permanent hair dye, relaxers and other things.

The lab we use says those things don't matter and ETG will still remain in the hair. However, I then looked up on Google and there are multiple studies where permanent hair dye, over the counter hair relaxers and other things reduce ETG in hair, like by a lot! It's not just some small amount.

I brought this up and the lab says that is "too variable" and "not all ppl have reductions like that." Well, that's not what it seems like. And if you take science into account, the studies make sense. Am I being just convinced by lab marketing and should I just switch to Nail ETG?

I'm hearing a lot about this 3 step process for all drugs, and even says it's overkill for ETG. How much alcohol use would this shampoo system be able to get rid of?
