Can I ask the pilot for a cockpit tour and wing pin as an adult?

I love planes (who doesnt??) and would love to visit the cockpit. I’m seeing a lot of YouTube videos of kids/plane nerds asking for a cockpit tour and they get it.

Is this a reasonable request or this only for kids?

Is this a reasonable request on an emirates flight? Are pilots usually accommodating or this?

Flight about a month out got delayed and now I only have 1.5 hours between flights?

So I’m flying from NYC to DXB and originally there was 2.5 hours between DXB to my next destination, but I got an email saying it’s been delayed and now only have 1.5 hours to catch my next flight. I booked through emirates.com.

Do I just run everywhere as fast as I can everywhere or do y’all think they’re gonna put me on the next flight?

I’m just nervous about catching the next flight especially since I have to pass through customs/immigration and gates usually start closing t-30 mins out.

I (f25) was snooping and found a marriage profile for me in one of my parents’ (f58) WhatsApp group chats, and I don’t know how tf to confront.

Ok so my mom gave me her phone to do one thing, and I opened up WhatsApp afterwards because there’s this one Indian group chat that’s just pure drama. I was reading crap and in a message about 2 weeks ago, I see 3 pics of me along with a completely BS bio and the whole profile nonsense. This isn’t even the slightest bit of who I am, and I casually drink beer and will not be giving that up anytime soon.

My parents had a crappy marriage and I’m kinda asexual leaning, so this deters me from love in general. my chest tightened when I saw this garbage.

A couple months ago, this topic came up and I told them no, and it didn’t come back up. My goal is to save up for 2 more years and then move out, I graduated like 7 months ago. I’m fine being on my own and have different goals in life. I think the concern is they own some stuff in India and want a man to handle everything, that whole trad life backwards ways of thought etc.

Now idk how to confront my mom because I did snoop kinda far into her WhatsApp. But I feel violated too, since my no was ignored.

Theory: Is every PM borderline alcoholic?

I feel like every PM I’ve met always has a couple beers or whiskeys on hand. I work in LD. I’m not sure if this is a regional thing or nationwide or firm specific.

Easy/for fun womens lacrosse around town?

Hey y’all! I picked up my stick after 7 years, played back in HS and boy am I rusty. I’ve been playing a bit of wall ball and joined ULAX, but I wanna just practice for fun. Are there any other leagues that are more beginner friendly?

How do you know it’s time to switch firms?

Hey y’all,
So I really like the people and place I work at, and i previously interned for like 7-8 months. It was exciting and I was constantly swamped with work, I learned a lot ofc. Now I’m full time (~6 months), and the things I do as an engineer is lower/on par with what I did as an intern. Maybe the guy who was my mentor set the bar high, he became one of my closest friends and confidants, he did advise against this place this place though.

The first 2ish months full time were good for my growth but now I fear it’s starting to plateau and they’re giving me work thats available, but there might be issues with incoming work. I’m trying to keep my positive spirits and be a sponge and soak up everything, but I can’t help feel like my career is getting less challenging/slow. My manager has also echoed that it’s just a slower rn.

This company is having slight growing pains, and I am a firm believer in trying everything for at least a year before making any crazy decisions though

Just wanna know what the symptoms of needing to change jobs are?

Friday Evening Depression post work?

Hey y’all, I’m sorry if this isn’t the best subreddit to ask this.

I’ve been out of school for about half a year and I am enjoying my work now. I’m working 40-50ish hour weeks and do lean a bit workaholic so the more hours the merrier tbh. Every Friday when things start to wind down, I am hit with a wave of low energy.

Do y’all relate? Is this just the engineering brain wanting to “go, go, go” 24/7?
