Every awards season produces a movie that forces Hollywood to reconsider its own rules and its own biases. This year, that movie did not arrive from a fall festival or a boutique label. It came from a YouTuber.

Thoughts** **on Obsession’s chances in the 2027 Academy Awards and what nominations it might get or none at all?

Amber Ramos was on a date at the movies when the 23-year-old felt herself being watched: it was her boyfriend’s sharp side-eye. 

“Obsession” is supposed to be a horror movie about a dangerously psychotic girlfriend, yet the couple found themselves exchanging looks a bit too frequently.

The film, released last month, has become a viral sensation with the latest social media conversation centered on the possibility that it is set in Ohio.

What do you y’all think the choice of having >!Forever - The Little Dippers as the song that plays during the end credits was the right choice for this film?!<

It would have been interesting if Curry Baker went the regular route and chose the film to >!just cut to black, let the credits roll with a different song in the background.!<

I think having “Obsession” by Animotion would have been interesting but tbh >!the ending of this film and its unique credits with Nikki crying and wailing in the background was very unsettling and eerie!<.
