I’m honestly getting really frustrated and anxious about my I-485 application at this point. The waiting, especially with almost no meaningful updates, is exhausting.
- EB-2 NIW
- Priority Date: August 20/ 2025
- I-485 Filed: March 2026 including my dependent
- Service Center: NBC (National Benefits Center)
- Status when filed: F-1
- Biometrics completed: April 15, 2026
- May 20, 2026: I noticed two silent updates on my case, but there was no visible status change or explanation.
Got mass update on 8/6/2026
- As of August 13, 2026: Still waiting for a decision or any meaningful update.
- EAD: Still not received.
- I also have one dependent included in the process.
It has now been several months since filing, and the silence is becoming really frustrating. I understand that every I-485 case has a different timeline and that USCIS processing can be unpredictable, but seeing no real movement after biometrics and the silent updates makes the wait even harder.
I’d especially appreciate hearing from people who filed around March 2026 and completed biometrics around April 2026. Please share your timeline and any updates you’ve received.
Hi everyone,
I am a March 2026 EB2 NIW filer with a dependent. My priority date is August 20. My I-140 was approved after RFE response on February 15, 2026.
I filed I-485 and I-765 (EAD) on March 20, 2026. Including for my F2
April 15, 2026: Biometrics completed
Received 2 SU on the same day after biometrics
May 20, 2026: Another SU
After that, no further updates
I-765 (EAD) is still pending
Case is still showing at NBC
Don’t get even EAD
Does anyone have a similar timeline or know what might be happening? Is NBC currently taking longer for EAD approvals?
Also, has anyone successfully requested expedite processing for a dependent’s EAD in a similar situation? What reasons or documents did USCIS accept for an expedite request? Feeling like my F2 got stuck for me without job its not easy to run life
Any advice or shared timelines would be greatly appreciated.
