Lara Croft?

Lara Croft?

With Lara joining (or at least teaming up with…) GI Joe in the main continuity later this month (and getting a Classified figure later this year), what’s the possibility of her joining the EU as well?

Turns out, the First Order are Madonna fans and friends…

Had to go with “Meme” as flair since there’s not a simple “humor” one…the husband was showing me the new Madonna…film…and chuckled when I realized both Captain Phasma and Allegiant General Pryde were partying it up with her in the bathroom.

Just arrived from Midtown Comics…

Feels like 3 out of the 5 are shots at something “good”…

Just arrived…here’s the thing tho: I didn’t order them.

They’re not in my order history…no emails associated with them…and most importantly no charge for these figures.

There was a a big deal made earlier this year in the logistics community and on LinkedIn about Hasbro signing a multi-year deal with 3PL giant GXO to consolidate and relocate DTC operations in Georgia. Not really that big of a deal, except the centerpiece was that it was a fully AI-powered distribution center.

As we’ve seen here in this sub, there’s been a lot of growing pains in the last several months, but this is the first time I’ve seen or experienced an order being fulfilled when no such order exists. Three figures…no order, and no charge.

And it’s not a picking problem either…my next expected pre-order isn’t until July. And again: no charge.

This is a full-on AI hallucination in my favor. Time to open some new figures I guess. 🤷‍♂️

Discussion: the actual consequences of that final battle… SPOILERS

This is just me wanting to talk about the possibility of something *massive* happening in they final airstrike on Nal Hutta, and wondering how it might play out in future media, be it novels, comics, shows, or movies…

How big of a blow did Adelphi Squadron deal to the Hutts when they carpet bombed that palace? And was it an act of war, by the New Republic?

Like, I know it was just *one* palace, on a planet that likely houses a multitude of similar dwellings, but when we first enter it near the beginning of the film, as Mando and Grogu are on their way to meet with the twins, we pass by several rooms with several other Hutts in residence. Assuming they didn’t all head out to their vacation homes between then and the finale, they’re all dead as well…for all we know, they wasn’t just The Twins’ palace, it was the headquarters for the entire Hutt Criminal Syndicate… *or*….its just the Twins’ palace.

What makes this even wilder? The two Hutts Din *had* to kill, to keep his creed intact? They were already dead before the Y-Wings shot off those bombs. Din was good, the Twins were dead…which goes back to his line to Grogu before they entered into the palace: they needed to fight, not just for Mando to save face with his clan, but because if they just ran away, the Hutts wouldn’t stop coming for them…which implies that’s why he gave Ward the instructions to blow up the palace…take out anyone and *everyone* who posed a current or future threat to them.

So yeah, everyone talking about how “nothing of consequence” happened in the movie is not only ignoring the character development that came along with Grogu figuring stuff out on his own, but also ignoring that the Hutts may have been wiped off the map of Galactic power players as well.
