FLAC file name assistance

I’m hoping someone here has a solution to help me out. I’m just finishing up converting my CD collection into FLAC files, and have found a problem. EAC is saving my files as “Artist-album-track” which didn’t seem to be a problem for most albums.

Now when I try to play a soundtrack on my hifiwalker H2, it’s organized by singer name alphabetically and not track number. Is there some kind of file management software that would rename them with the track number first? Or can I configure the player to use the metadata track numbers?

I have over 500 albums in my collection, so doing it manually is impractical. I could write a script of some sort for this, but that’s a whole thing I don’t want to deal with.

Anyone have any advice for me?

Nextruder gears wearing out

Question for the group. I’ve had this happen twice now and am wondering if others have experienced it too.

I’ve been printing with cf-nylon lately on a mk4, and getting gorgeous results. That is until I have a clog. Once that happens, I have nothing but failures afterwards. I eventually discovered that the gear has a distinctive wear band on the teeth. It’s subtle, but noticeable. Once I swapped the gear set out, everything was fine again.

Are the teeth really so soft (sold as hardened) that one failed print with a cf filament destroys them? If so, that becomes an expensive failure.

Am I crazy?

Wanted to run this past the group and see what people think. I recently inherited a set of old family heirloom pocket watches. I know they’re not valuable in monetary terms, just family history.

All 3 are cylinder escapement movements with 3 jewels. Am I crazy to buy some basic tools and try to do a cleaning/service on them myself? I understand that I would be in no way qualified or equipped to do major repairs, and that’s fine. I just want to get them running again if possible, and not spend thousands on a professional.

Watch ID help

Hello folks, I’m hoping you all can help me out with an ID. I inherited two pocket watches that don’t have any visible markers marks. I know they are old, and may have come from Holland in the early 1900’s. They’re also labeled as having a cylinder escapement. Both watches have the same movement style and dial, so are probably the same maker.

Anyone recognize this watch and can tell me anything about it?

File structure question

I’m planning to get myself a HIFI Walker, and have started using EAC to rip my CDs to FLAC. I’m assuming that the player can handle a basic folder structure. But my real question is how to get the tracks to play in the right order rather than alphabetical order.

Anyone have any feedback on how to go about that?
