I got a MacBook Neo despite having a M2 iPad pro, because for whatever reason the Japanese keyboard would never function properly on the iPad. It was so seriously annoying and it hindered a lot of the work I had to do for school. Not to mention doing the most simple things like writing documents and presentations somehow was more difficult than just doing it on my windows desktop. I love my iPad for drawing and some games, but jesus christ it literally failed at doing some of the most basic things it should be able to handle so I just got the Neo. It is a godsend, things just *work*. No finicky keyboard issues, no weird mobile app / mobile web shenanigans. Though in theory it is a downgrade hardwarewise except in single-core performance, it being an actual laptop instead of an iPad with a keyboard and trackpad makes a huge friggin difference.
