My Good Boy

Just sharing my good boy (well don’t know if that’s for sure) and his nice colors. Ps. I know there’s something wrong with his bottom lip, it’s been like that since I got him, I’m guessing it’s a birth defect or injury healed wrong from when he was tiny. This is Beasty, by the way.

New Buddy

I had a Senegal Bichir for about a year and so many months. I adored him, his name was Rhodo. However, he passed away in an unknown way and I felt horrible. (I posted here about it asking for what may have happened.) Anyway, today, while on a routine visit to petsmart for pet stuff, I saw this little buddy and I couldn’t help but take him home. (I know you shouldn’t buy from large companies, as it only encourages them, but I felt awful for this guy.) He’s a Delhezi, maybe 2 inches long, and looks incredibly emaciated. He was laying on his side when I saw him at the store. I’ve got him in a 15 gallon hospital tank at the moment, just to keep a close eye on him and see if he has any large problems I need to treat. (I’ll move him into one of my larger tanks as soon as quarantine is over.) Any suggestions and/or tips for me? (Sorry for the bad photos. He went into hiding as soon as I got his tank up and rolling. Yes, it’s got already well established biomedia, as I stole some from my other tank. That’s the only reason I felt comfortable taking him home right away.)

Opinions?

Has anyone heard of My Local Press? If you have, what’s your opinion on it and is it actually a valid platform to publish on or should I look elsewhere? I’ve tried to do some digging on it, and so far haven’t found anything bad, but haven’t necessarily found anything great either. Honestly, in this day and age, it’s just getting harder to find reliable places to publish.

My Silkie Roo

First time posting here, or really showing my work. This is a sketch of my Silkie, Reginald. (We call him Redge) the face isn’t as detailed now, as I’m still working on how to detail his skin without it looking like more specs of feathers. So, I think I’ll try that when I put this in ink.

PLEASE HELP!

I haven’t seen my Oscar like this before, yes he gets moody/dramatic with tank cleanings, but nothing to this extent and for this long. He’s been on his side or tilted almost all day or at least every time I’ve seen him today, not even coming up to the front of the tank to see me, which he always does. Both filters are working, and parameters were normal. (Amonia 0 and nitrates between 10-20ppm.) The only thing that was off was one heater (there’s three to heat his tank) unplugged, but it was only about 2-3 degrees below the norm and is now back up to the usual. Please help, I don’t know what’s going on with him and am extremely worried, he’s my baby.
