Just failed my campaign, could I get some advice?

To give some insight on how I failed: it was that goddamn Avatar project, and managing the avenger side of the game.

Sure, the missions themselves were getting really hard (that Advent Blacksite mission took hours to beat, [why were there two Codexes?] and I lost two good units from it.

After that mission, and a few of the previous ones, 6 out of my 8 available units were wounded and 1 was training.

I had to skip missions (which I know is a big no-no, but I literally couldn't do any with only 1 unit (non-dlc, btw. Don't have them).

So yeah, I suck at Xcom but I love the abuse and am thinking of picking up the DLC's. So please give me advice, so I don't get screwed again.

Should I get the current Trazyn/ Deceiver models or wait for the updated ones?

I want to wait for the updated ones, as I'm in no rush to get them.

But my friend says I should just get the ones that are currently out, because they're on the cheaper side and would allow me to use them.

Plus, having older models would be cool.

Which is fair, I see his points.

But I've never put together finecast before, so it would be very different.

What do you all think?

Best way to get used to character death and imperfection?

I've tried to beat Xcom 2 for years, on and off, but everytime I get blocked by my own need for perfection and refusal to let even a Rookie die. How do I get past this? I really want to finally beat the game 😅

My Royal Warden

What do you all think?

I think I did pretty good job with this one and I'm really impressed with myself.

But if there's any improvements to be made, do let me know.

Could I get some help with my Canoptek Wraith?

The glue on the tail connecting point won't hold, and it keeps collapsing. I've tried glueing pennies to the underside of the base, to give the base more weight, which has helped a bit the model still won't hold a strong connection.

I've tried reglueing it multiple times, with more and more glue, but it just can't support itself. It just always starts to fall apart, as soon as it has to hold its own weight.

Anyway ideas?

Edit: I've fixed it, thanks for all the help. And if you're wondering, I was using Citadel Plastic Glue, but that just wouldn't create a bond at all. So I put a dab of Superglue on and it instantly started to bond, so I lined it up, put a bit more superglue on and it held. Very strongly, too. Thanks, again.

Here's the 1000 point army I've chosen as a new player, is it good?

I'm not sure if it's perfect, but since the C'tan Shards are what caught my eye first, that's why I chose Pantheon of Woe and added the Nightbringer to my list. The rest was supplementary that I thought would work well together.

I think it's pretty good, but I'm curious what you all think.

Edit: Already made Imotehk the Warlord, this is an old picture before I realised to do that. I, also, have updated the wargear for one of my Immortals Units to Tesla Carbine. (I made the mistake of mixing up my Immortals whilst building them originally, I did 3 Gauss Blaster and 2 Tesla Carbine, as I didn't know you couldn't mix and match.) That's why I have two units of 5 Immortals, instead of one unit 10. Sorry I never specified this originally.

I'm thinking of picking up a Series S and getting Game Pass back, after years, to play Subnautica 2 with my friend.

But I'm not sure if it'll be available on Essential or not.

I hope so.

I think I've done a pretty good job on this one, but I'm sure there's ways I can still improve.

So what do you think?

I hope you all like it.

I'm here just to thank everyone for their replies and help, as there were a lot of messages to reply to, lol.

I'm also here to show which weapon I chose.

I can't wait to start painting it tomorrow, and once I finish I will post it on here, and I hope everyone likes it.

Thanks, again :)

They both look awesome, but I'm not sure what each does in the game, if there's any difference at all.

If there isn't, and I can just go off of looks, then great. But if not, then I'd like to know what they both do.

Also, does it matter which head I choose or not?

Okay, thanks.
