Tried to mix comic design with lego ethos, trying to match him with Captain Cold. Any different pieces I could use? Im defo not happy with the belt or helmet, so any options would be welcome.
What other villains should I try to make?
I just had to buy the issue. What an incredible tale of identity and humanity. I fucking love this issue and I fucking love Coagula
I have to preface that I really, REALLY enjoy this movie and this nitpick doesn't ruin the experience of the film. It's just something that's been nagging at me recently ever since I re-watched some clips from it and I don't think anyone has ever brought it up.
James Gunn made Polka-Dot Man's powers too good.
I think his powers don't match the reputation he's given; in a deleted scene, The Thinker says he's at the top of the list of the world's worst supervillains. We, the audience, knows he's silly because he a d-list supervillain from the silver age who's dots are like... pockets or something? but in the film, his polka-dots fucking DISINTEGRATE PEOPLE. I don't care how "silly" it looks, those are dangerous ass dots. Honestly, I think he's just a victim of bad PR and self-esteem issues, among other things.
If Gunn wanted him to shoot "effective" polka dots for his films, he should've made Abner shoot dots like the Blobs from The Incredibles:
Just imagine those but brightly multi-coloured. They can even still be deadly, like if he shoots them in the head, it suffocates his enemies, but mainly incapacitates them, stuck in a sticky coloured mound of blobs.
I'm not entirely convinced with the head. If any of you have any ideas, I'd be more than grateful.
Doom Patrol is one of my favourite comic book series ever, so I decided to create one of their recurring enemies, The Brain, Head Of The Brotherhood of Evil.
I say work in progress because I have another piece coming. His body feels too tall, and im not convinced with the mouth. But for now, I love the little guy. I'll make Monsieur Mallah when I can figure out how to put a hat on a gorilla.
The first pic is my newly updated one, with the second pic being what I had originally. I think the first one flows and fits together more than the second one; the mismatching colours just bother me, yet it does add more character and fits better. Idk.
