I tried going to a festival alone last night after my plans fell thru. Unfortunately I did not have a good time, left after 2 hours or so, and missed one of my favorite artists. I felt so lonely and anxious the whole time. Everyone had a group except for me. I hate not having friends because my anxiety makes it so hard to make connections. What seems to come so naturally to everyone else is nigh impossible for me. I'm in so much pain.
I was supposed to go to a music festival tonight. The plan was to meet with some folks i found on a local Discord server. For whatever reason they never followed up with me when I reached out, so the plan has totally fallen thru. Going alone does not sound remotely fun. I am genuinely trying. I take my meds every night. I buy tickets. I workout. I'm working towards a career that will hopefully improve my life. I put myself out there romantically even when it's discouraging. I am trying to go do more things and get out of the house despite absolutely crippling anxiety, but when everyone just bails on me wtf am I supposed to do. I was really looking forward to this.
Edit: I tried going solo but bounced after an hour. I felt lonely and miserable the entire time. I hate this feeling.
As the title says, I had a ticket to a show I have been hyped for for months. When the day arrived, I got a sudden spike of anxiety and stayed home. I feel completely horrible. I do this regularly and it's starting to add up monetarily. I can't keep wasting money on shows I don't attend, but I love the idea of live music. I hate that anxiety makes every decision for me.
