Why my guitars sounds like crap ?

Is it only down to mixage ? or what ? Cause i was pretty hyped to get kontakt and Electric sunburst + guitar rig but its sound quite bad to me... :'(

I was sure this small part of a song I was hearing in my head was going to sound good, but now I don’t know if it actually does or not...

How fking write melodies ???

Hello everyone,

I'm coming to you a bit desperate. I have a HUGE problem when it comes to writing melodies, especially vocal melodies. I just can't fking do it.

I don't really have any formal music theory knowledge (at least not consciously), but I've been trying to write music for a few years now, and I even start "releasing" my first songs a few months ago (if you want to know that i can put note together. Despite that, I still can't seem to figure it out. It's so bad that it almost feels like I'm tone-deaf.

I play bass, and I can learn most songs by ear without too much trouble. But when it comes to vocals, I really struggle to hear the notes. That makes it almost impossible to study existing vocal melodies by ear like i already been told to do

The usual advice of just singing gibberish ("la la" or nonsense syllables) over the track doesn't work for me either. All I end up doing is throwing random notes from the key at the song and hoping something sticks. Sometimes it does but only once in a blue moon.

Honestly, I'm getting really frustrated. It's starting to kill my motivation to make music. I have no idea how to improve or even how to approach learning this.

If anyone wants to hear what I've made so far to see that I can at least write songs that kind of hold up (or at least I hope they do 😅), here's the link

Has anyone else been in the same situation? Or is anyone dealing with this right now? Do you have any advice?

What do you think of my 3rd song ? decided to release it as a demo since im over working on it lol

I would really love to have your thoughts on it tho ; And this my first (and probably last) lyrics that i write ! I have been inspired by an unexpected encounter from which a spark of passion burst into life. It was so fleeting that it all happened with barely a word between us. When I got home, I realized that no matter how desperately I wanted to hold on to their face in my mind, it was slowly fading away anyway. Here it is for the little story :p

Merci d'avance !
