How to avoid scratches on glasses?

All day glasses wearers of Ireland, please share your wisdom.

I wear glasses from the second I wake up until the second my head hits the pillow again.

My prescription is expensive (€700 in Specsavers for a single pair or €300 from an online crowd), so I usually spring for the scratch resistant finish to make sure I get the wear out of them. (My prescription isn't allowed on any 2 for 1 offer either)

But I got a pair from Specsavers 3 years ago and scratches appeared on a lens. They replaced the pair after I made a fuss, and told me not to use the wipes (that they sell) because they can cause scratches apparently. The spray and microfiber cloths just leave smears which is very distracting with lights.

The online pair lasted longer but now I have scratches on the lenses too.

I take good care of my glasses because I literally can't see without them. Soft cloths, sprays the lot. They go into their case at night or when I'm on the shower etc, but still they get scratches.

Specsavers warned against those ultrasound cleaners, but they also warned me against their own wipes for their own scratch resistant finish.

Any tips or suggestions greatly appreciated!

One thing I'd really like a change from in the next GTA online...

"Busy work" as the boss.

Why am I throwing people out of the nightclub? I have a manager AND bouncers but I have to drive the limo to bring drunks home?

What am I paying them for?

Why am I delivering ammo parts from my bunker every 48 minutes? Just add it to my inventory for the big sell.

Why do I need to hack the phone of the security guard everytime for the Casino set up? Surely Lester can remote in after 1?

And there are many others.

I know it's the grind etc, but well beyond Kingpin level still doing street thug stuff just makes it tedious.

Tattoo parlour suggestions?

Looking to get a sleeve filled in with foliage, flowers etc.

I don't have a design, happy to let the artist design ahead of time or freehand on the day (if I like their style).

Can anyone recommend a good one around Dublin?

Clondalkin or Tallaght, but willing to travel a little bit.

Thanks.

Groin pressure and pain with multiple misdiagnosis

I'm make, 46, and other than what I'm about to describe I'm in perfect health.

6 years ago I took myself to after hours doc when I saw blood in my semen.

There wasn't any pain, or a lot of blood, but I still went to get it checked.

After a few questions, I was sent home and told to keep an eye on it and go to my GP if it happened again.

From that point on, I've had a pressure/dull uncomfortable numbness in my general groin area.

Not too dissimilar to needing to pee, which has led to 5+ years of misdiagnosed UTI/STI and kidney/bladder infections.

In 2023 I was due for a gastric bypass and when I mentioned everything, my surgeon immediately sent me for a cystoscope. Nothing was found, so I was given another dose of antibiotics and sent on my way.

I have since had multiple ultrasounds on my testicles (nothing found), bladder (nothing found), kidneys (latest of 3 ultrasounds found benign parapelvic cysts, nothing to be concerned about apparently), CT scan and am currently waiting for an MRI.

I have had every dip and lab test on urine and blood, PSA tests and my first ever prostate exam.

All negative.

A month ago I woke up having wet myself in my sleep and a week after that I couldn't sleep with the pain.

The next day, it was like I was brand new.

I've been to my GP 5 times in 2 months. She's stumped, hence the MRI and more blood tests.

Her last piece of advice is to take paracetamol and head to A&E if it (whatever it is) flairs up again.

I know I'll be triaged and sat in the waiting room for who knows how long because it won't be seen as an emergency.

I am on the 4th rescheduled upcoming appointment for a urologist, but the last one put me back in the care of my GP after a clear ultrasound and physical exam. So I'm not incredibly confident.

As a last ditch effort to understand what it is, I asked my GP if scar tissue after a vasectomy in 2015 was a possibility and she wasn't convinced.

I'm at a loose end. It's affecting my sleep, mental health and libido and mood in general. I just want to know what it is.

Please, has anyone gone through something similar? Theories, experience or advice?

Thank you.

Any Vespa owners/enthusiasts?

I've always wanted a Vespa, and I have a budget of €4k and was hoping for some pointers.

What do you wish someone had told you before you got your first one?

Any outlet warehouse suggestions?

Looking for the types of warehouses where you can go to buy bulk household items.

Loo rolls, washing powder, that type of thing.

Not looking for Mr Price, Choice, Dealz, Musgraves etc. The independent type, cheap and cheerful pick your stuff off a pallet type places.

Any recommendations?

Edit: Thanks all for the replies. Not looking for traditional wholesalers like Musgraves etc. They're incredibly expensive.
