Per my lore, the physical and mental state of a vampire will degrade if they don't get a sufficient supply of blood.
A sufficient blood supply allows them to function like normal human beings. They can speak in full sentences, blend in with the human population, and even go out in the sunlight(although they are more sensitive to it).
If they are not provided enough blood, they'll start to look less like a healthy person and more like Count Orlok (see image two). They cannot function like a normal person. They are significantly weaker and become desperate for blood. They will gradually lose their immunity to sunlight until exposure to sunlight melts all of the flesh off of their bones.
