Regretting my uni choice

It's days past results day now and I've gotten into my firm choice, the uni I've been preparing to go to for months now. I should be really happy, but these past few days something else has kicked in and I've been incredibly depressed. All of a sudden, I don't want to go to this uni anymore. It's a decent uni, russell group, but it just doesn't feel like the right fit for me. Taking a gap year is out of the question as for personal reasons it's necessary I move out from home and this is my only chance to. Really what do I do? Is it just my anxiety talking? I don't want to spend 3 years at somewhere I won't like and it's really starting to stress me out.

Keeping a play with minimal action interesting

I'd like to write a play with one setting and in which the entire crux is on two characters' conversation (of course not a unique idea at all), but how do I really keep this interesting for the entire length? I can see the characters personalities laid out in my head and some of what they'd talk about, but I don't feel experienced enough to really keep an audience engaged in this

Reducing noise?

I'm moving into university accomodation relatively soon, halls where a lot of small student rooms are close together and where I assume noise will be quite unappreciated. I want to keep using my typewriter, but mine is quite loud and I don't want to incur the wrath of my neighbours if it's simply too noisy for them. Is there anything I can do or do I just have to wait until the most opportune time of solitude to start typing?

The Hunter riff

Trying to find any tabs or videos on how to play the riff from The Hunter in How Many More Times but I just can't find any information anywhere. Can anyone point me in the right direction? I'm not proficient enough at learning by ear

What are people's actual thoughts on William Blake? Where does he rank in the so-called canon?

I'm currently reading Northrop Frye's Fearful Symmetry, and it struck me that for all the times I'm told how influential a writer Blake was, I rarely see his name mentioned in canonical discussions. It feels that Blake is often put on an abstract pedestal of "genius" and left there untouched, and as someone who has always felt greatly inspired by reading his poetry I wonder what people's genuine thoughts on him and his work are?

Why was Toofer such an underused character?

First time watcher and just finished the entire show, but while watching I began to realise just how little Toofer is used as a character. There were stretches of episodes where I thought his character might have been written out because he just never showed up, yet the show also seems to want you to think he's a major character?

Unlike some other writers, he has a fair few lines and involvement in B plots in the episodes he appears in, but he never has his own subplots and seems to have no fleshed out personality. The first few episodes make you think he'll be a fixture of the ensemble, and his characterisation as a black man who acts white makes you think he'd be used as a foil to Tracy, but he just isn't used for anything much at all. Why not? He really could have been a much more interesting character if he was used more.

Can any Uni of Leeds students help clear this up for me? (Question in body text)

I've applied for Lyddon Hall (a catered accomodation) but I'm looking at these general terms and conditions for accommodation and noticed these dates here. This is under meals and catering, but the dates confuse me as to what they mean. Is it saying from December 12th to January 10th, and the space from March to April, there just isn't any catering or that in that space you won't be allowed to stay at the accommodation?

Best places to get a view of the city?

I'm moving to Leeds soon and one of my favourite parts about the city I come from is all the places I can go to get high up and see the full city landscape. This can be big hills, the tops of publicly accessible buildings, anywhere that lets you get high up basically. Where are the best places in Leeds to get a view of the city?

Am I really able to do theatre?

I'm going to university this autumn and the existence of a theatre society there quite excites me. I've always loved plays but I have zero experience with acting or being around productions, on top of being quite a shy and awkward person. I want to step out of my comfort zone but everyone I know who does theatre has been doing it since they were very young, and I don't really want to embarrass myself or bring everyone else down by attempting it. Is it worth trying or should I not bother and stick to the audience?

How to appreciate postcolonial criticism

I'm starting a Literature degree this autumn and one of the compulsory courses is on postcolonial theory, the issue is I just don't really find this field to be very appealing to my own interests. I can appeal somewhat to my own family history in being immigrants from colonised countries, but when it comes to analysing texts in light of colonialism I don't find it to be a particularly interesting task. I genuinely want to appreciate postcolonialism and enjoy studying it because I understand the importance, but I don't know how to frame it in a way that appeals to me. What am I missing and how do I begin appreciating it?

Edit: Any reading recommendations would be appreciated
