First Impressions

I've always liked the Dior 1s, but retail has been completely out of reach for most people. I finally decided to grab both the High and the Low in LW batch just to see how they compared, and I was honestly impressed when they showed up.

The Dior monogram swooshes also looked cleaner than I expected, especially from normal viewing distance.

Build Quality

The leather is very stiff and takes a while to break in. It's hard on your feet for a couple wears, but with that both pairs have a nice amount of structure. Stitching looked consistent throughout, and I didn't run into any loose threads or obvious glue marks.

The embroidered Wings logos on the High looked clean, and the Low had nice even panel cuts. The translucent outsole has the correct blue tint without looking overly dark.

Nothing felt rushed or sloppy during my inspection.

OUCH! for the first couple days of wear. I worked the leather out with my hands a couple times and wore them aggressively to help soften and stretch the leather. Both were comfortable once broken in, but only for short wear. Recommended 2-4 hours.

These honestly lived up to what I was hoping for. The shape is solid, and both the High and Low capture the overall look of the Dior collaboration really well. They're obviously not a pair I'd wear every day, but they're nice to have in the rotation when I want something a little different.

First Impressions

I've wanted a pair of these hybrid pants for a while because they're such an unusual design. Half woodland camo cargos and half washed black denim shouldn't work as well as they do, but in person they actually look really clean. They're definitely more of a statement piece, but that's kind of the appeal. The materials looked good straight out of the package, and nothing immediately stood out as cheap or poorly made.

The first thing I noticed was that both fabrics feel appropriate for what they're supposed to be. These fit exactly how I'd expect from Balenciaga, oversized with a wide leg and plenty of stacking over sneakers. I went 1 size up with this pair for a extra baggy look and wouldn't change anything. Even after wearing them for a few hours they stayed comfortable, and the drawstring waistband makes it easy to adjust the fit.

First Impressions

When I pulled these out of the box, the first thing I noticed was how well the colors worked together. Triple S colorways can sometimes look chaotic in photos, but in person the red mesh, blue lining, and grey overlays balance each other out pretty well.

The overall shape looked good right away, especially from the side profile and heel. One thing I noticed immediately was the weight. They're still heavy like you'd expect from a Triple S, but compared to a retail pair I tried on before, these felt noticeably lighter. Personally, I see that as a positive because retail Triple S can get tiring after a few hours.

I spent some time looking over the usual areas that reps tend to struggle with: stitching, embroidery, glue marks, panel alignment, and sole construction.

Nobody buys Triple Ss expecting running-shoe comfort, and these performed about how I expected.

They're definitely chunky, but the cushioning is decent once they're on foot. I wore them for a few hours while running errands and grabbing dinner and didn't have any issues. The padded collar helps, and sizing down worked well for me.

I wouldn't choose them for a full day of walking around a city, but for casual wear they're completely fine.

Overall

After wearing them a few times, I think VG Batch is a solid option if you're after a Triple S without spending retail money.

Okay so the Mocha Low has been on my list for a minute and I finally pulled the trigger through COCO via CNshopper and bro, worth every penny. That mocha brown suede hits so different in person. Warm tones, clean profile, reversed swoosh doing its thing. Box was intact, extra laces included, no issues on arrival whatsoever.

LJR really knows this silhouette at this point. The suede on the upper is soft and has that proper nap to it, not that stiff fake suede that looks off under light. Bro when these landed I genuinely had to take a second. Chunky sole, Dark tones, that signature reversed swoosh, the moth, all present and accounted for right out the box. Packaging was clean, no damage, came with the extra laces too. I swapped the OG laces with the black and white that came in the box. It also came with the bandana you see in the video.

Build Quality

LJR batch on the Phantom is no joke. The upper materials feel STIFF though, but no flimsy or plasticky texture anywhere. Stitching is consistent all the way around the chunky midsole and toe box. The sole unit has real weight to it which is exactly what you want on this silhouette, not that hollow lightweight feel some batches cut corners with. Easily an 8/10 on build.

These finally landed and ngl I was shook opening the box. Canary yellow hits WAY harder in person than promo shots show. Immediately knew I made the right call.

Build Quality

LJR cooked here. Suede on the toe box is soft with actual nap to it, stitching is mostly clean. Midsole has the right amount of squish. Construction is easily an 8.5/10.

Comfort

Rocked these for a full day, held up solid. No heel slip, tongue stays put. 7/10, it's a casual low top, not trying to be a runner.
