Got carried away with the gun sfx replacements and now my game sounds like a scuffed version of Heat.

There's one thing I don't understand about the final mission for The Sons of Samedi...

Why were there so many Samedi and their vehicles in the mall at the first place? Wasn't this supposed to be the Saints exploiting a small window of opportunity to ambush The General, who for most of the game has been very elusive thanks to his mobile-base-cum-armored-limo? If you think about it, the only Samedi that should be near The General at that time were his bodyguards in the Hounfor and the convoy.

I only have two theories that I can think of. The first being that the General planned to rally his remaining soldiers in the Rounds Square Shopping Mall, and is the reason why it looked like he's headed there in the first place. It just so happens that our ambush happened at the same time on the same place and now we have accidentally barged into a supposed Sons of Samedi convention while chasing after their leader.

The flaw with that theory is that it would be impossible for the Saints and the Samedi to not notice each other, when the Samedi would've put a few of their boys outside to act as look-outs; and it would be impossible for the Saints to set-up without being spotted or make the Samedi suspicious of their dead look-outs.

My other theory, which sounds a bit more convoluted but generally makes more sense, is that The General did some 4D chess by using himself as a bait and tricking the Saints into ambushing him near the mall, where he would then lead the Saints to an ambush he set-up inside the mall. I say this makes more sense because now there is a reason for the Bulldog-Technical be there -- he's gonna sacrifice the Hounfor for the plan and now needs a 2nd vehicle with more offensive capabilities

Now how on Earth could the General even know? Well the General is practically omnipotent and omniscient thanks to his Hounfor. His mobile-base-cum-tank-limo can practically drive anywhere and has been seen lurking in the back in some missions. He was even able to personally kidnap the boss because he can literally just pull up and start nabbing people. The fact that the Saints' also raided a Police HQ right in the middle of Ultor territory and having a mini war against security riding tanks and attack helis is enough for any leader to be on high alert, especially the Samedi who is currently at war with them.

Now those are just theories, and we don't have any more information about the Samedi's tactics or any actual explanation as to why a bunch of them are already inside the mall in the first place, due to the lack of enough characterization for this gang.

As such what are your theories on this? Are there any lore-friendly explanations for this? I mean the devs could be out of time and had to rush a final mission, but I would love to hear ya'll thoughts about this.

I hated the way the Minigun sounds and performs in Saints Row 2, so I modded it to make it more biblically-accurate.

No file replacements. All changes where done with the weapons.xtbl file

This cutscene becomes even funnier if you've already finished all the Ronin missions.

Pierce asking for some shit to do, then the Boss rebutting that Pierce is already in charge of the Ronin, which the Boss already wiped out a few missions ago. Pierce practically has nothing to do lol.

Which looks better: medium length hair with red eyes or long straight hair with purple eyes?

In the mission "One Man's Junk...", the game doesn't check if you are in a jetski to trigger the boardwalk section, so you can bring an attack helicopter instead. HOWEVER, the game will spawn two additional heli-bombers, and you are now forced to touch the dock to trigger said section.

It may look easy, but it did actually took me a couple tries complete. The beach is uneven and difficult to park a helicopter on - that one specific spot is both close enough to the jetski spawn to not despawn the Tornado and flat enough to keep it in place.

Then there's the fact that the bombs dropped from enemy helicopters can actually hit you if you fly too low; which becomes a major problem at the boardwalk when you're trying to touch the objective marker on the docks while being bombarded by bombs from two helicopters.

On another note, imagine you're the Ronin given the simple task of guarding the boardwalk against one guy, only for that guy to literally fly in and do a strafing run on your ass with an attack helicopter. My Saint's never beating the paramilitary allegations.

This SR2 stronghold is an absolute clusterfuck on-foot, so I brought an attack helicopter.

Fr tho this should've been what Heli Assault is instead of the escort-mission-style we got.
