Naoko's Solo Album CD (2003)

Naoko's Solo Album CD (2003)

I got this online somewhere a while back, I forget when. These are pretty hard to come by, she was super shocked to see it but thought it was totally cool! GFB got a kick out of it too, it's a super neat piece of THD-adjacent history!

Currently seeking information on an old Tempe AZ based indie band, Skybox (2003-2007)

This is going to be a longshot, but I have faith. My name is Kitt, I own and operate an archive/fan community for the indie rock band, Skybox.

This band was started and primarily based in the Tempe area from 2003 to early 2007, and not much is really known about them from this time, other than their "first" studio album (Arco Iris) that can be found online. I was curious if any Tempe residents who were living in the area during that timeframe (or possibly any that may have moved there shortly thereafter) might remember this band?

They played at The Clubhouse and The Marquee in 2005, At Phoenix based festival "Oh Shit! A Fest?" in 2006, and the Sets (March and August) in 2007. These are the only known years and locations I have of local performances. Their first "full album" was issued by the Big Red Balloon record label (which had a Tempe AZ based PO box as their address, as listed on the back of the CD) and was recorded and mixed at The Panic Button in Tempe.

What I'm after is pretty much anything you've got. Stories, photos, flyers and posters, old CDs or shirts, really any proof from this timeframe other than the very limited number of photos and old flyers I have found. Their first true album is entirely lost, and shirts only exist as very low quality photos on early archives of their website. I would greatly appreciate anything and everything that you may remember. Thank you!

Favorite albums by color, 3 each!

Red, orange, yellow, green, light blue, dark blue, purple, pink, white, grey, brown/tan, black. I tried to not do any duplicate artists, I only had 3 on this chart.

I need some more albums with yellow, purple, grey, or light blue covers! The other colors were no brainers, black, orange, and dark blue were instant fills. Purple Rain probably could replace Megalithic Symphony, if I didn't have so much nostalgia for it.

Most amount of scrobbles for an artist off of only (or mostly) one album?

What's an artist that you have a high number of scrobbles for, but only because of one album? I also say "mostly" because there's a few I have off of just one album, or ones that are pretty much just one album (with the remaining scrobbles being 25>)

My highest by far is Skybox. I ADORE Arco Iris, I think it's one of the most underrated albums ever, and I've been listening to it for years. I only recently decided to listen to Skybox's other public album, and I didn't care for it much at all. I listened to it once, + one of the songs a few times because I didn't hate it. 1,529 out of 1,545 scrobbles from a single album is my highest.

Let me hear yours!

I also have the following:

13th Floor Elevators, with 377 out of 384 scrobbles being from The Psychedelic Sounds of the 13th Floor Elevators

Strawberry Alarm Clock, with 305 out of 308 scrobbles being from Incense and Peppermints

Mort Garson, with 262 out of 265 scrobbles being from Mother Earth's Plantasia (although if you were to count the Cosmic Sounds album he released as "The Zodiac", then this does not count)

Emerson, Lake, and Palmer, with all 143 scrobbles being from Tarkus

Captain Beefheart and his Magic Band, with all 105 scrobbles being from Trout Mask Replica

These next few also qualify, but are because the artist only has one album

Miracle Musical, all 473 scrobbles being from Hawaii: Part II

The Brain Police, with all 306 scrobbles being from their Self Titled album

Music Emporium, with all 252 scrobbles being from their Self Titled album

Greylock Mansion, with all 104 scrobbles being from their Self Titled album

Sunforest, with all 86 scrobbles being from Sound of Sunforest

Current top 25!

Top 6 are a lock, the 6 after are pretty solid but could change with time, the rest are def up there but are subject to change. Tried to stick to 1 album an artist. Definitely a neat mix and I'm always looking for new stuff!

Taking a longshot here, I'm looking for photos/videos/stories about Jason Webley, an Everett based musician who was primarily active from 1998-2011 and a part of such groups as Evelyn Evelyn and toast. You may have seen him with Amanda Palmer of the Dresden Dolls! I figure being a local to Everett, he may be well known in the area.

My question to you folks is if you have any stories or experiences with Jason Webley, or if you have pictures/videos/merch for a fan archive I'm a part of for Jason. Saw the 11/11/11 show? Went to Camp Tomato? I wanna hear about it! Figured I'd see if anyone in Everett has anything.
