Best Delivery Method

Hello!

I have a question I could not find if it was asked and/or answered previously(might be using wrong keywords), so I am just going to ask the subreddit.

I am looking for the best dependable way to receive deliveries from UPS. Now I don't mean for expedited deliveries, I mean for the ones you get for purchases. Standard deliveries. My shipping route in my area is questionable at best for ETAs. It is almost never on time, I can almost depend on it being delayed when I have to sign for it(something I can never presign on the website) & early when I don't. Even worse when it is something I expect. Sometimes when I can see where the vehicle with my package is on the day of delivery, I almost want to chase it down and ask for it(something I am sure if frowned upon if not illegal).

So I just want to ask, what is the best dependable way to arrange deliveries with UPS:

Have it delivered to an Access Point/Store?

Arrange it to be delivered on certain days/times?

Or, just trust the system & have it delivered normally?

Any feedback is appreciated. Thanks

Gatekeeping

To say I am 99% done interacting with my favorite nerdoms is an understatement. As a middle-aged/GenX Blerd, I do not have many family and friends into nerd culture to the level I am and I think I will been seen as casual compared to some deep in it.

I love what I love, but mostly find my interactions with common interests are online. Over the past few years, I tried to us the internet to find my "pack" in my Fandom, to only be judged at every turn.

I feel I can't even post anywhere to have a discussion and/or feedback to be judged or outright rejected for my posts. I usually end up deleting them.

I am at the point of giving up trying to enjoy my hobbies with others. Do any of you deal with this? How have you addressed it & how did you come to find people you enjoy talking with? Any feedback is appreciated. Thank you.

Beyond Frustrating

Since November 2025, I decided and began my search for the AOTP Arielbots. Always wanted the G1 Set since a children, so this was a journey I wanted to have looking and purchasing all five. It was easy to get everyone but Silverbolt and Air Raid. I was at the point of actually selling the three I already had until I finally found and purchased a New Silverbolt for $82.

I knew where I could get Air Raid. He was on Amazon for $32. I look to buy him the same day I got Silverbolt. It was now $41. So I put price drop alerts to look out for a deal. To make this post, I went to screenshot AR's price & how TF is it now $47 in 4 days!?!?

It just comes off that the resell/scalper markets are controlling the retail price. I would love to support brick and mortar businesses, small businesses even more, but it's almost as if you are forced to go into the resell market to find the high demand stuff. These prices take the fun right out of collecting!

So I started to look into eBay, Mercadi & WhatNot to find better prices. Also considering 3rd Party to finish off the list figures I want. What do any of you do/use when looking for transformers?
