The basic jist of this MU is that both are iconic smug and chaotic internet prankster talking animal peeps from popular video games/series (Umamusume: Pretty Derby and its spin-off multimedia, and ExplodingTNT’s Minecraft skits) who became so popular they ended up warranting their own YT channel (Golshi’s VTubing and Pink Sheep’s own gaming YouTube channel).
ExplodingTNT, Pink Sheep and Purple Shep was my childhood and I wanted a MU for the Prankster Gangster. Golshi ended up fitting the bill for me as it has the whole “The Strongest Smug and Chaotic Internet Animal Prankster of Today VS The Strongest Smug and Chaotic Internet Animal Prankster in History”

The One: Pink Sheep (ExplodingTNT)
Good Alts: Noko Shikanoko (My Deer Friend Nokotan), The Stig (Top Gear) and Jack Box (Jack in the Box)
Middle Tier: Pinkie Pie (My Little Pony), Tow Mater (Cars) and Captain Falcon (F-Zero)
2nd to Last Tier: Heihachi Mishima (Tekken), Joseph Joestar (JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure) and Mirko/Rumi Usagiyama (My Hero Academia)
Bottom Tier: John Cena (WWE), The Undertaker (WWE) and Aoi Todo (Jujutsu Kaisen)
IDK Tier: Gigi Murin (Hololive), Kaela Kovalskia (Hololive) and Drake (Nikke)
(Noko was originally going to be in “The One” and Pinkie Pie was goring to be in Alts but the more I thought about Pink Sheep, Jack Box and The Stig as options, they both got put down a Tier. In Pinkie Pie’s case, it’s not a bad MU at all and Umamusume VS MLP idea feels VERY fitting, but imo she’s less interesting compared to the aforementioned peeps in Alts and The One)
My proposition for the reason why the Doctor decided to do such a tour is because in the preceding season, a former companion went rogue and went up against The Doctor as that season’s main antagonist, resenting The Doctor for essentially abandoning them.
(I am aware that there was a story in the comics that had Adam Mitchell come back as a prominent antagonist resentful of the Doctor after the events of The Long Game, but for this scenario the former companion gone rogue will not be Adam)
The Doctor would eventually defeat said former companion but felt guilty for the way they turned out. As much as the Doctor does not check up on old friends, this debacle with a former friend turned enemy gave them a wake up call regarding the people they left behind.
So The Doctor and their current companion(s) would travel to where said previous companions are and checking up on them. But trouble seems to follow them and The Doctor and companions, both former and current, deal with different threats that emerge. Eventually this will all culminate in the Doctor reuniting with their granddaughter, Susan.
I feel that the opening episode of each season should play a clip of the former companion’s departure just to give context on how they left.
Yeah the biggest flaw of this kind of season as that it would not be newcomer friendly, but it would make for a unique kind of season
