Hey guys I'm seeking some advice/support from other piggy owners who may have had similar experiences. About three weeks ago my rescue piggy, Benny, started crying when peeing. To keep this short, he has been to the vet twice, his xrays show no stones or sludge. He's been through two rounds of bactrim for a week each round and he starts to show improvement and then will randomly start crying and having small spots of blood in his pee again. I'm wondering if maybe he could have interstitial cystitis but I'm currently waiting on his next appointment to ask his vet. Has anyone else had a similar experience with their piggy? What was the diagnosis? How is your piggy doing? I feel so bad for my little potato. He doesn't deserve this.

Am I better off going to Fairfax or Waynesboro? There are a few vets who will see guinea pigs in Harrisonburg but none of them seem to actually know anything about guinea pigs!
