I've been looking for the Composer 2.5 benchmark on DeepSWE and found this Reddit post: https://www.reddit.com/r/cursor/s/AmU0fA0zOK titled 'Composer 2.5 doesn't look too good on DeepSWE.' and had Kimi 2.6 performing better than Composer 2.5, So, I decided to put it to the test:
Test 1: I tasked it with converting a complicated Construct 3 game to Phaser, and Composer 2.5 handled the conversion better than Kimi k2.6.
Test 2: When asked to fix a bug in the game, Composer 2.5 fixed it in 2 prompts and 10 minutes, while Kimi k2.6 took 1 hour and 10 prompts.
Now I need to test it with Kimi k2.7
When using "Cascade" agent, it was always updating in real time after each request sent, but not with Devin Local, hope it'll be fixed too.
I tried to use the "Devin Local" to test it instead of the Cascade agent, as they said it's the new preferred agent, but I've been into bugs since I used it, it doesn't write files, it has to create a script to rename the old files and then create new file and delete the old ones, and when using plan mode and ask it to implement it, it doesn't have file-write tools (even in code mode), but this time it had to create so many files that it's just wrote them on the chat and of course, the Devin team will see this post and not fix it or ask for details, as I've wrote many bug posts, sent messages (no answer for 2 months). I've had more help from normal users than the Devin/Windsurf team, especially after loosing all my previous chats on all my projects, posted 2 times on reddit and no one from the team provided a solution.
The most annoying part, is that I decided to subscribe to Cursor again, and on my first problem, I sent them an email and got a reply 5mn later.
Same with the paper design tool, I sent them 2 suggestions as a free user, and they replied twice, the same day.
As an early user, I'm not asking for much, just that you fix the bugs so we can continue to use the tool, or at the very least, acknowledge the issues.
After my Devin update, I can't access anymore to my extensions and mcps, even if they're shown active (green dot). For the Pencil extension, even if it's installed, the extension is not visible on the left bar after a restart, so I have to uninstall and reinstall everytime. for the mcp, I tried many times but nothing works.
Any fix?
I lost all my previous chats after the Windsurf update.
As you can see, those open tabs were all chats, but now, empty, just displaying "Cascade" as titles
I think it was when upgrading to version 2.0, I opened a previous workspace and I couldn't find previous discussions, were all empty, thought it was only 1 workspace then, but now I'm opening other workspaces to update some projects and all the same.
Don't know if Windsurf has chat limit count so they deletec older chats?
