How would the implementation of a TFR-styled economy system affect the gameplay of EAW?

recently started playing The fire rises a lot and i gotta admit their economy system is super well made and interesting. It would make diplomacy and trading a lot more interactive and impactful. i could see harmonic and non aligned countries having an advantage over supremacist ones simply cause they'd have better social amenities and spent less of their wealth on military.
