Hypo and Hyper? Diabetes?

I’ve had issues with shaking, sweating, blurry vision and confusion on and off for years. I was told by my primary (who I no longer see) that it was “anxiety”, and they sent me on my way with a SSRI.
I bought a glucose monitor some years back and frequently found myself in the low to mid 50s during these episodes. I took it to a new doc and had them test some things, but they only really checked my current glucose and my A1C which at the time was a 5.6, so no actual indication of diabetes yet. I was told it was “probably just Hypo”, I changed my diet for a while, and it seemed okay.
Fast forward to now, I’m getting into the 160-180 range after eating a sandwich, and dropping down into the 50s and lower shortly afterwards over and over (and during my sleep.) I check with a handheld monitor to confirm these numbers are real, I use the Lingo CGM to supplement that.
I see a new primary doctor on Friday, and have logs detailing everything I’ve seen over the last week.

Is it typical for anyone else here to also have spikes?

Lingo CGM- Honest Review for Hypo

I got the Lingo on Amazon two days ago after noticing some pretty serious dips in sugar levels over the last few weeks to years, on and off, but worse recently. I often dip into the 50s-60s, within an hour to two hours AFTER eating. I ordered the CGM lingo to monitor and record my dips, to show my doctor.

The Lingo was easy to apply, and painless. The needle was longer than I expected, so I was afraid it would be pretty painful, but I was pleasantly surprised. Stung for roughly an hour, then didn’t hurt anymore.

That’s been the only painless thing about it.

Firstly, it says in the app -after you buy it and install it- that it’s not great for detecting lows. Would have been nice to know from the get go- Google specifically recommended this for Hypo.

It frequently says I’m sitting at or around 75-80, but when I started feeling ill and shaky today, I decided to retest using my handheld digital monitor instead.
I was sitting at 54, when my CGM Lingo said I was at a 74. I retested on my handheld a few minutes later assuming I’d messed it up somehow, down to 52. A 20+ point accuracy differential is just wild.

TLDR; after using it for only 48 hours, I don’t recommend the Lingo for Hypoglycemia, as it doesn’t accurately measure or record anything below a 70.

[Hiring] - Na’vi Custom OC

CLOSED!
Thank you so much to all who commented, you’re all so talented!

Artist hiring another artist!

Seeking a fun colorful style, one full body full color shot (think very basic reference sheet, maybe holding or with a similarly matching recurve bow) for an OC I’d like help designing, which is a Na’vi from James Cameron’s Avatar! It does NOT need to be a fully rendered crazy painting like above, mostly looking to get the design fleshed out.

The above are screenshots from the game, to give an idea of the sort of clothing and accessories I’m lookin for

This design will need to have colorful fun beads, shells, wood, and or bone accents, so if little details or unbridled creativity aren’t your thing, it might not be the best fit. Ideally, I’ll give you a general description, color palettes I enjoy for the clothing, and hair styling, and you go wild with the clothes, beads and accessories! :)

Very open to artist suggestions and creative ideas/designs- hoping to keep it mostly inspired by the Aranahe and Sarentu clans, with a little me thrown in there.

($85 budget, willing to go up for style!)
(Bonus points if you’ve played Avatar Frontiers of Pandora, or are a fan of the series!)

Avoid Concorde. Round 2!

BUCKLE UP. Concorde is back at it. Full timeline expanded via new texts, personal Reddit comments, videos, and emails.
Avoid them at all costs.

Monday, 7/6- 5:28PM

I discovered a significant water leak issue in my apartment, including water damage from the ceiling and an active dripping leak. I moved my dog into a safer room, began to mop still water on the floor away from the carpet to protect both it and my belongings, removed furniture items from my kitchen where it was currently raining, then immediately called their maintenance line (4) times and received no response.

I then notified management/maintenance via text message and portal that there was an active flowing ceiling leak and a serious mold concern, as the unit smelled so bad I was gagging standing inside. I was unsure how long the unit had been like that as I was gone for the holiday.

The issue was not a minor maintenance concern. The leak involved active water intrusion into the apartment, and continued to worsen.

Initial Maintenance Response
8:15PM 7/6

Maintenance arrived at the apartment to assess the issue.
During this visit, the maintenance representative verbally advised me that I should not stay in the apartment overnight due to the condition of the unit.
I was informed that his "boss" told him that temporary accommodations would not be provided.

The immediate action taken was placing two buckets to collect leaking water and place down fans. The source of the leak was not repaired at that time, and continued. Water dripped around the buckets and onto the floor in puddles. I then left to secure lodging elsewhere. It was not safe going to sleep in an apartment with two huge fans going in the middle of running water dripping everywhere around them, running water falling out of the ceiling actively ruining my kitchen, and the apartment reeked of mildew/mold. Maintenance also “recommended” I go, so I went. It was not habitable.

I was advised before I left to come back tomorrow and it should be "squared away" and water “shut off” to stop the leak.
The leak was left there overnight.

Continued Leak and Worsening Conditions

12:20 7/7
On arriving home, the leak had clearly continued after the initial maintenance visit, and worsened in size significantly.
No one was in my unit, or on location, and my door was left fully open and unlocked for anyone to walk in. I sat there for over 3 hours, waiting for someone to come as it got worse and worse.

Water then began flowing harder and entering areas involving electrical fixtures, including light fixtures and outlets. The apartment remained affected by the active rain, and it began to spread over the fridge and inside lighting and outlets.

Due to this, I set up my previously unused security camera across the apartment at this time, primarily to know when it was safe to come back.

The major leak continued for approximately two to three days or more (7/6 minimum through morning of 7/8) before the underlying issue was addressed.

At 12:23 on 7/7, I reached out to the same number I have texted and called for the last 8 months for all maintenance issues or emergency services. The same number I texted the day before to send help.

I needed to let them know it was even worse and collecting in the lights. I immediately thought of the newborn across the hall. It was a massive hazard.

I then discover I cannot send any messages, nor place calls to that number. Each message bounces back as undelivered. I test my phone to ensure other texts and calls are going through fine, and they are.

I called the fire department at this time.
I am still as of 8pm 7/8 unable to send any texts to this line, and this line only, with the only option being that I have been blocked from contacting it.

Concorde still denies any knowledge of this in multiple email threads. They seem to be infinitely more concerned with the fact that I've been blocked, and denying it, then they are with my living conditions.

Safety Concerns

7/7 3:30pm
The fire department representative responded to the situation and advised that the condition was unsafe. The brown water was pooling in, on, and around my kitchen light fixtures. Of course, maintenance left them all turned on overnight while the leak occurred. Major fire hazard.

They called an inspector, told me to keep the lights off, and left. Roughly 30 minutes later, I began to hear crackles/fizzes from the lighting. I felt unsafe, left the building, and alerted law enforcement of the active danger. I drove to my boyfriends place across town and stayed there. Law enforcement called me back, was appalled at the situation, and sent the fire department out a second time around 5PM, caught by camera. A city inspector was called by them when they determined it was unsafe and nothing was being done to stop it.

This reinforced the seriousness of the condition, and my concern regarding remaining in the apartment.

Communication Regarding Repairs

7/7- 5:29pm
Management (Poole)communicated via email that someone was at the apartment addressing the issue:

"Maintenance was out there at 4PM turning off the water upstairs and pulling insulation out of the ceiling so I’m not sure how you haven’t seen anyone over there."

I reviewed my camera footage and confirmed that while maintenance did enter the apartment around this timeframe, 4:13, the activity observed consisted of looking at the problem for about ten seconds, placing additional buckets to manage water collection, and then he left for the night. The active leak was not stopped at that time, no wet insulation or drywall was removed as stated, and maintenance did not return to address the source of the leak, or begin taking the flooded insulation and ceiling down, until the following morning 7/8.

Concerns Regarding Living Conditions and Rent

7/7/26 - 5:29PM

Due to the condition of the apartment and the inability to safely use the unit during the period of active water seepage, I communicated my concerns regarding rent obligations for the time the apartment was not reasonably usable.

I was advised via email that withholding rent would result in eviction proceedings by Poole.

I was advised by maintenance that they will not pay for accommodations, nor find me a safe room for the nights it was actively flooding.

I was also advised by law enforcement AND city inspector that the unit is not safe.

Where am I expected to be right now, or is that just not anyone’s problem?

Public Discussion and Management Response

7/7- 6:00PM(ish)

Safe at my boyfriend’s for the evening, it is still raining in my apartment. No one is there. I sat there watching it on camera.

I made a public post discussing my experience on Reddit, and included that I have documentation and timestamps of the (at the time current) condition of the apartment, to obtain advice on what to do.

A person identifying herself as my property manager (with her name as her username, mind you, screenshots) responded publicly, stating that repairs were being completed (as I was watching my empty apartment via camera), and dismissed everything I said.

She then (falsely) stated in this public forum (Reddit) on her personal account that she does not represent the company (Concorde), is not in charge of the property, and that she "just works there".

She is my direct property manager. This woman has been replying to all of my maintenance problems directly for the 8 months I've lived there. I've never once treated her harshly or nagged her for slow or nonexistent maintenance, despite several things being "fixed", but not really. Until now.

After I provided evidence regarding the condition and timeline, and reiterated that she was in fact my direct property manager, the comments she (Poole) made against my complaint were removed from the public forum, by her, immediately.

Lease Release Discussion

7/7 - 6:48 PM
Following the above forum (Reddit) discussion, said management (Poole) contacted me via email trail after removing her comments, regarding the possibility of ending my lease.

Management (Poole) stated:
“If you would be happier being released from your lease we could look into doing that as obviously I don’t want you being in an uncomfortable living situation. Just let me know how you’d like to proceed.”

This in itself is an admission that something has gone terribly wrong.

I chose to think it over and wait until morning to make sure I'd have somewhere safe to go first, and weigh options with legal counsel. I stop contact with Poole at this point, and reply the next morning to someone named Lindsey by email.

7/8 10:43AM-
I contact Lindsey, who appears to be an office manager with Concorde. I initially was very kind, said I knew it wasn't her fault at all and apologized if I came off crabby or mean in advanced, and stated that I'd like to talk about the aforementioned "release".

I was ignored in her response back, and was told they don't know why I am saying they blocked me.

There are numerous other google reviews and reddit comments stating Poole has done this (blocked and/or ignored serious issues) to other tenants in the past. As of now I am still unable to reach or reply to the help/maintenance line via text, despite it working just fine since last December (and even 7/6 when this began). Messages only started to fail after I continued to follow up.

At 12:42PM, I sent a less polite email,** **stating that I'd like to talk about my release options, again, with a screenshot of the email from Poole stating release talks are an option we could discuss. I at this point have not reported Poole for the Reddit conversation, so Lindsey I assume is unaware of why this was offered to me in the first place.

I was trying to be kind, I just wanted out.

1:05 PM Lindsey responds by saying I can submit a 30 day notice to the portal at any time.

This is clearly a trap to get me to pay the remainder of the lease terms with implied liability.

I submitted a proposed settlement offer, with very careful terms, to ask to be released from my lease. I stated that if accepted and released, I would not go after them for any rent already paid this month despite living conditions being unlivable, and would stop complaining and gathering legal evidence against them.

They replied to inform me that the carpets would be cleaned tomorrow.

Do not rent from Concorde.

Concorde Realty- Flooded Apartment

UPDATE: My property manager reached out via personal Reddit to essentially call me a liar in this thread. I came back with proof, and she’s deleted her comments and blocked me, so my original response to her is now gone. Thankfully, I have screenshots.

On 7/6, I came home around 5pm from the holiday weekend to an extreme stench of mold/mildew. I then find my ceiling above my kitchen (2nd floor unit, 3rd floor above me) had a pretty serious dripping leak, and roughly an inch of still brown water on the floor.
After nearly two hours of trying DESPERATELY to contact them, I finally get a guy out to “fix” it.

He comes in, looks extremely nervous, and asks me if I have any towels. I know it’s not his fault, but I’m not going to let maintenance use my clean towels to clean brown still water that wasn’t my fault in the first place. I don’t have enough even if I wanted to. He then tells me he has no cleaning supplies. Obviously an oversight on Concordes end because I specifically asked that they have someone out with cleaning supplies when I sent the first (way too polite) message about it.

A second man shows up and goes “I don’t have a license to deal with this” and left immediately. First guy who I feel bad for at this point says he’s going to get big fans and come back. I was told by him “my boss said we can’t set you up anywhere tonight, but I strongly advise you to not be here tonight. It’ll be fixed by morning, so don’t worry.”

I show back up around 12 next day (THANK GOODNESS I had somewhere to go), my door is fully ajar and open, no one around. Maintenance left my unit fully open to the public. The hole is bigger, the floor is wetter, and it’s now actively pooling into my light fixtures in my kitchen. It is a massive fire hazard for everyone in that building, right now.
When trying to contact Concorde to get an update on if anyone is trying to fix this, I discovered the property manager Aubree/Audrey Poole had blocked me from sending further messages to the help line after trying to call and text numerous times.

I called the nonemergency line, and they sent the fire department out. They took a look, hovered for ten minutes and left me there alone with the problem. I was told an inspector was called, but after waiting 3 hours in this wet moldy apartment no one came. I called the inspector myself only to discover he won’t be able to get in until tomorrow, while water is still streaming out of my ceiling and into the lights.
Efforts to reach Concorde regarding this have been futile and ignored.

To make it worse, I have a camera in my unit pointed at the hole to see if they’re actually in there doing anything. I watched someone come in, look at it for ten seconds, and leave. Hours later, no one has come back.

I sent them a 14 day notice with all evidence pinned to it, stating if it’s not fixed within that timeframe I’m legally allowed to leave in 30 days as the unit is uninhabitable. They replied and said they forwarded it to my manager, and told me if I withhold any days of rent due to it being uninhabitable that I will be evicted, so I know they see my messages about the situation. I also reiterated that there is an active electric situation with the water pooling in the lights, and have gotten no reply.

What are my options here?
