Was out doing some shopping in my C900 when I chanced on this beauty of a 96 when I was just about to leave. So of course I had to park up next to it and take some pictures, at which point the owner had come out of the shop too and we had a little chat about our Saabs.
I found my 1993 SAAB 900S (not the GM one) to have no coolant in the reservoir this morning and as I needed to use it (and ideally not overheat) I topped it off with some universal yellow (Kroon Organic NF) I had lying about. As the previous owner was a bit vague on what exact coolant he used (other than it being red) the yellow seemed like the safest bet. I know I'll need to flush and refill sooner rather than later but I'm wondering how long I can safely run this mix.
I'm currently in the market for an MX-5 NC and have mostly been looking at the 1.8 litre models.
As I take it they have issues with oil consumption but I'm wondering if this was at all improved or remedied in the NC2.
I've tried searching for it but all I can find is the NC2s improvements to the 2 litre engine.
Does anyone here know?
